Abstract

Aim and Background: Nowadays, while providing extensive benefits and facilities, from various aspects, Cyberspace has been associated with issues and problems in the field of social order and security. The present study is aimed at providing a model for improving the Cyberspace users' Societal Security against the threats posed by Addiction and committing drug crimes. Research Method: The present research was of combined and exploratory (intermingled) type. The study population in the qualitative part of the research, which was based on data theory, included library studies and reference to related documents, and conducting semi-structured interviews with 8 experts (heads of anti-cybercrime departments of the Anti-Narcotics Police and "FATA police" department of NAJA based on the principle of theoretical saturation). The quantitative section included 61 drug suspects who were arrested by the police within a certain period of time for committing the relevant crimes in Cyberspace. To calculate the reliability of the questionnaire of the qualitative section, the reliability method between two coders with the final result (76%) was used. To calculate the reliability of the quantitative section, Cronbach's alpha coefficient with the final result (0. 88) was used. In the present study, MAXQDA was used to analyze the qualitative data extracted from the semi-structured questionnaire, and SPSS was used for descriptive and inferential analysis of the data obtained from the questionnaire. Findings and Conclusion: The findings of the analysis of the content of documents and interviews indicated that 3 dimensions, 12 components and 50 indicators (concepts) should be taken into account in the process of promoting social security of Cyberspace users from the perspective of Addiction and drug crimes. In addition to developing the final pattern, the overall results showed that the priority of the identified dimensions in promoting social security of Cyberspace users from the perspective of Addiction and drug crimes will be: 1-public prevention, 2-media literacy promotion and 3-policing prevention.
