Abstract

Background and objectives: Iran was an ancient land and Iranians were one of the most polite people in the world. Persian literature has been a treasure trove of ancient Iranian knowledge and the scientific, civic and moral messages of Islamic culture. The Policy Letter book written by Khajeh Nizam-al-Molk Tusi can be considered as an educational and usable text for Commanders and managers of all periods, including the officials of various law enforcement units. In this article, the author has sought to study and enumerate the manners and Ethics used by Commanders and law enforcement managers from this book. Methodology: This article has been conducted using a descriptive and documentary method and the data were collected through referring to written sources and taking notes. The method of analyzing the findings is a kind of inferential analysis that, while extracting a list of the manners and Ethics of Command and Management required in the police, the same words of Khajeh are presented in front of them. Findings: In this article, while pointing to some nuisances of Command and Management, twenty-two characteristics required by Commanders and law enforcement managers such as democracy, tact, central justice and avoiding haste are extracted from the Policy Letter book. Results: Khajeh's advice strategies were such new and practical that not only used in the past, but now and even in the future can be used by Commanders and managers of law enforcement units and any other manager.
