Abstract

In this paper, the problem of determining heat transfer from convecting-radiating n of rectangular shape is investigated. We consider one-dimensional, steady conduction in the n and neglect radiative exchange between adjacent ns and between the n and its primary surface. It is demonstrated that the governing n equation, a nonlinear second-order di erential equation, is exactly solvable. The exact, closed-form analytical solutions in implicit form are convenient for physical interpretation and optimization for maximum heat transfer. Additionally, exact analytical expressions for Heat transfer rate and the n e ciency are provided.
