Abstract

Purpose: Answers the question whether the reform in the justice system changed the relation between the two types of courts, or changed the overall Judiciary system. Method and Research Design: Data for this study was gathered from two collections of archival documents belong to the Adliyee Azam (circa. 1904). Findings and Conclusion: Reform implemented by the state restricted the power 89of the Shari'a courts, nevertheless, their structure and privileges remained intact until the 1907 Constitutional Revolution.
