Abstract

The present paper seeks to construct and determine PSYCHOMETRIC FEATURES of father’s EDUCATIONal role in the view of ISLAM. A QUESTIONNAIRE with 48 items was designed using Quranic verses and ISLAMic traditions based on which father’s EDUCATIONal role was explained and its theoretical components were extracted. A descriptive-survey method is used in this research which was conducted on a sample consisting of 382 high school students from zone 18 in Tehran. The result of construct validity analysis indicated high correlation between items and total score. The reliability of QUESTIONNAIRE was 0.89 based on Cronbach’s Alpha and its internal consistency was 0.87 based on Guttman’s split half coefficient. The test-retest results, with three week intervals, showed that the correlation was 0.783 at level of 0.01 between test and retest. This QUESTIONNAIRE has desirable validity and reliability to be used in research.
