Abstract:

Color is one of the important elements of the artistic imagination in poetry and hence, every poet applies this unique technique to discover a mysterious world. Iranian poet Sohrab Sepehri and his Iraqi counterpart Saadi Yousif have diverse experiences in this field. To these poets, the color has been transformed from a phenomenon to a mental setting hence, this element is counted as an important artistic structure in their poems. However, they have applied this color differently. Sepehri inspired by Romantic School and optimistically sees it as a sign of beauty but Saadi has used it as a symbol for political and social struggles pessimistically influenced from Realist School. The manifested differences of application of color in the poetry of the two aforementioned poets are in a way that Sepehri in a large number of his poems could change the place of colors but such has not been seen in the woks of Saadi. The current paper attempts to review the application of colors in the poems of these two poets.

Abstract:

Characters are central and essential elements in a novel, the manner in which a novelist develops characters and expresses viewpoints on the one hand and illustrates the level of technical and aesthetic mastery on the other. The novels of Khula al-Qazwini, a famous Kuwaiti novelist with religious outlook and a committed literary figure has received little analytic attention so far. Reflecting on two of his novels "Al-Bayt al-Dafi' and Sayyidat wa Anisat, this research examines the feminine viewpoints of this novelist while concentrating on her style of character development as well as complexity and simplicity. Despite the multiplicity of female characters in these two novels, Khula's anti- feminist viewpoints are completely evident in portraying her characters. Additionally, in developing the characters, she attempts to directly present the mental states and qualities of character to her readers, and avoids allegory and ostentation in many scenes. This research analyzes the content of these novels by employing a qualitative descriptive-analytic method.

Abstract:

In the verses 30 to 33 of Chapter Sad of the holy Quran, the story of displaying the high-breed horses before Solomon has been explained. In the verse 31 of the same chapter, we confront with two idioms i.e. Safenat (horses stood on three legs and the extremity of the fourth leg's hoof) & Jiad (high-breed horses) that .have different meanings from the viewpoint of their exegetes. And, the verse 33 points to wiping of legs and necks of horses. It seems that there is a fine relationship between verses 31 and 33. This relationship is a kind of sorted complication and explication which is between "Safenat & Jiad" in the verse 31 and "Legs & Necks" in verse 33. These rhetoric figures of speech not only beautified the verse but also enriched its meaning.

Abstract:

One of the reasons of literary expression and miracles of Quran are its exalted meanings and artistic concepts in the form of rhetoric. Aesthetic beauty of the holy Quran, whether from the point of view of definitions or and structures are its wonderful and admirable verses. Their expression, interpretations and the application of rhetorical and literal aspects give this divine book a refreshing and specialized outlook. Also, idioms are one of the literary genres as well as elegant aspect. Expression of complex and hidden facts apparently make the divine verses complex and vague but audiences with their own help and talent as well as wit try to discover and understand those hidden concepts.

Abstract:

Literature is a form of communication and each literary work is in the form of dialogue with other preceding and succeeding works of art which creates a dialogic relation. In dialogue or dialogic relation, there must be a second person to initiate the firs speech for which the second voice is a response. Therefore, different voices are heard along with the dialogic quality of a work of art.The primary concern of the present article is to demonstrate and examine the dialogic qualities and possibilities of Tofigh al-Hakims works, the Egyptian playwright, notably his masterpiece Ahl al-Kahaf, focusing on aspects such as polyphony, interextuality as well as the effects of native culture, the holy Quran, on it.

Abstract:

Although theatre and play entered into Arabic literature during the contemporary period, with a review of classical Arabic literature, we find narratives and anecdotes that have considerable exhibitory or dramatic contents. Introducing such stories, we could provide invaluable resources to contemporary dramatists and thereby report past literal works for contemporary generation and provide contemporary exhibitory works with more mature content and richness. This article is an attempt to measure exhibitory capacity of Hariri's Maqamat.Maqamat consists of fifty dramas written between 495-504 Hijiri .A review of stories from the Hariri work makes it clear that they have "dramatic structural" elements such as exposition, orchestration, disturbance, conflict, suspense as well as "exhibitory elements" like theme, event, character, dialog, setting and action. Using a descriptive and analytical method, the current paper tries to introduce exhibitory capabilities of Hariri's "Maqamat" hence, to inspire contemporary dramatists with themes from stories of the proposed book.

Abstract:

In the glorious mansion of "Shahnameh", justice, leaders and anti-oppression are some of the magnificent columns. Amazing similarity of the justice system of Iranians in Shahnameh and Arabic sources shows a common cultural and intellectual origin of the two. Ferdowsi wrote Sahnameh, with the motive of friedship, in literary and epic style in Persian. Whereas, Arabic sources have been written with religious, historical, literary and ethical motives where Iranian subjects can be seen in reference and parenthetic in hidden layers of the texts. Dramatic differences between the Shahnameh and Arabic texts on the one hand and very close resemblance of the Iranian justice in both sources show a new angle in recognizing Shahnameh, because the Arabic sources known as "the head mistress in using others" in addition to explaining justice in Ancient Iran are indicators of the amount of equity, fraudulent and insight on Ferdowsi in presenting Iranians' intellectual and cultural foundations and acquit him of the alloy exaggeration and prejudice.
