Two verses (known as Niirayn and Wilayat) concerns Imam Alis virtues. Both of them, which are weak and erroneous, have been forged. No evidence regarding the text of these verses or the name of their author can be found before the eleventh century. According to historical accounts and to the content of theses verses, it is clear that they have been forged and spread at that time in India. The only shii source, that mentions these twoverses is the Ta4.kiraal-aimma, a book compiled in the 12th century, but his author did not quote any of his sources. Therefore, the assertion claimed by some Orientalists and Salafists scholars that, according to the Shii, these two verses once had belonged to some parts of the Imam Alis Quran, is totally baseless.

Seyyed Abdollah Sobbar, known as Majlesl the Second, is one of the greatest shii scholars of the 13 century. He owes his reputation to his interpretation of the Holy Quran and to his book named al- Aklaq (Ethic). His struggle against corruption and to strengthen the Islamic sciences is scarcely known. Even during his own lifetime, he was not paid much attention. He was one of the greatest transmitters of shii traditions. This paper deals with his religious conceptions, especially by referring to two of his books which have not been edited yet, the ](imi al-ahkiim and the ai-Ma anj:

In the Quran, numerous verses deal with the heaven. This matter is exciting, for in many cases, it shows the miraculously scientific aspect of the Quran. What meaning should we give to the word heaven in the Quran? Is it something visible or, on the contrary, a dimension beyond our sight. In fact, all the verses quoting theword he.aven are meaningful. In some cases, the word means the observable sky with its physical characteristics, but in some other cases, it refers to a place that we cannot see and where the destiny of the world will be decided. This article discusses these different meanings in all the relevant verses, which range over more than 300.

This paper of comparative grammar deals with the issue of transitivity of the verb in Farsi and Arabic. It begins by the cases of non-coordination in the two languages. Indeed, some transitive verbs in Arabic are intransitive in Farsi, and vice versa. Examples are displayed and commented at length. Then, the various cases of conformity are discussed (i.e. verbs which are both transitive or intransitive in Farsi ~md Arabic).

The verse "In the Name of God" is subject to different conceptions and interpretations. Should it be considered as a complete verse, or more as a sacred sentence added to the Holy Quran? Was it revealed only once or, on the contrary, as many times as it is quoted throughout the text? How should it be recited in the daily prayers? And, if it is in his essence a verse, how was it revealed? This paper aims to answer these questions linked to a sentence so meaningful and with such a great emotional content. This verse is the light that guides us in the sura al-Fat~a , and in the other sura-s, it exalts God, His beneficence and His graciousness. The different views concerning this verse goes back to the Umayyad time, especially the reign of MuawTyyah.

One of the most complicated problems, which has been debated between whoes who recite and copy the Holy Quran up to the present times concerns the way of writing and reciting the word holdinga hamza. In fact, the roots of this debate goes back to the Time oflgnorance (JahilTyya), before the Revelation itself. According to historical accounts, two great tribes (the Quraysh and the TamTm) predominated at that time. Although their dialect and their pronunciation differed, both of them were affected by the eloquence of the Holy Quran. Researches dealing with the hamza in contemporary linguistic and phonetic lead to new interpretations, which challenge the theories of early Muslim scholars like STbawayhand ~ai1i. This article displays the theories of Muslim and non Muslim phoneticians, and discusses in detail main differences.
