Abstract: 

Background and Objective: Along with the growing importance of knowledge in the present age, and willingness of organizations for implementation of knowledge management as a tool for survival and eloquence, the necessity for applying a mechanism to guide and direct knowledge management efforts in a proper way is felt more than ever, and assessment of knowledge management level, provides such a possibility. The issue is of critical importance for knowledge-based organizations like universities. The present research aims at assessment of knowledge management level at IRI Police University (IRIPU).Method: The research conducted through using documentary and survey methods, and its required information is collected through benefiting from note taking and self-made questionnaire tools. Experts and professors’ viewpoints used for approving the validity of tools used and the reliability approved through using Chronbach Alpha coefficient (a=0.92). The data analyzed through benefiting from descriptive-statistics (T Student Test and Friedman Test).Findings: None of the aspects in IRIPU, (recognition, education, application, acquisition and knowledge development and retention are not in an ideal situation. There are differences aspect between knowledge management in IRIPU and that of other universities.Conclusion: There is rather a huge gap between knowledge management levels in its sextet dimensions in IRIPU with desirable status. However, at present, IRIPU among knowledge management dimensions has the best and weakest situation in terms of knowledge recognition and knowledge acquisition. Taking into consideration the results of the research, IRIPU should seek reinforcement of the earlier mentioned dimensions through proper planning and interaction with reputable scientific centers.

Abstract: 

Background and Objective: Nowadays, the importance of patient’s satisfaction with health care services and its pivotal role in promoting the quality of services by health care provider centers is absolutely obvious. The present study aims at reviewing the satisfaction level of inpatients in selected military hospitals in Iran and its related factors.Method: In the present cross-sectional descriptive study, which was conducted in six military hospitals located in the various geographical regions of Iran in the fourth quarter of 2008, six hundred patients were randomly selected from among people who admitted in these hospitals. Following the patients’ discharge, a checklist and a patient’s satisfaction questionnaire were completed for each patient. The questionnaire assesses the level of patient’s satisfaction in eight domains: physicians’ services, nursing services, nurses’ attitude, nutritional condition, welfare facilities, reception services, discharge and accounting services.Findings: Mean (Standard Deviation) of total satisfaction score was 83 (10). There was a significant difference among satisfaction scores of various hospital health services (p<0.001). In post hoc tests, the physician services score was significantly higher than that of nurses approach (p=0.004), the nutritional condition (p<0.001), the welfare facilities (p=0.001), the reception services (p=0.027), the discharge services (p<0.001) and the accounting services scores (p=0.019). Other subscales score had no significant differences (p>0.05). The total satisfaction score were significantly higher in males (p<0.001) and in patients with various insurance types than others (p<0.005).Conclusion: The present findings indicated inpatients’ desired satisfaction level with medical services in the military hospitals all over the country. The findings can be utilized for improvement of hospital health care services by principals and policy makers of health care systems.

Abstract: 

Background and Objective: With respect to the huge volume of responsibilities and activities of every organization, qualitative and quantitative growth of human resources in an organization in line with performing its missions and offering service not realized unless organizations rely on continuous trainings. Therefore, not benefiting from information technology (IT), especially at present competitive era may lead competitors over take. One of the domains which have changed fundamentally through benefiting from IT is “training”. With respect to the critical role of IT in various dimensions of training such as virtual training and optimizing implementation of various affairs of training, organizations may be able to implement training courses and various training processes effectively through benefiting from IT, to realize the organization’s objectives. The present research aims at reviewing the role of IT in improving training in IRI Police University (IRIPU).Method: The present applied research, was conducted through a descriptive-survey type. The statistical society was 144 staff at IRIPU who were acquainted with training affairs in 2007. The data was gathered through using a questionnaire. Reliability and validity (a=0.892) of the questionnaire was approved. The data was assessed through using t test.Findings: The results of the analysis of the data indicated that IT has an effective role in designing and planning, implementing, learning, assessment of the training courses and training structure. Therefore, in this respect while planning properly, IRIPU should pave ground for utilizing IT in training.Conclusion: The most prominent role of the present research is clarifying the impact of IT on various performances of training. Therefore, IRIPU as the premium training organ of IRI Police force, in accompany with other higher education institutes may pave ground for cultivation of training through applying IT effectively. This can be materialized through establishing working groups comprised of education and IT experts.

Abstract: 

Background and Objective: Over the years, football spectators have converted sport stadiums into battlefields to fight with each other. They take some destructive collective actions which not only destroy public assets, but also challenges police and security forces dispensation. The present research aims at finding suitable approaches to get rid of these actions through reviewing IRI Police managers’ views.Method: In the research, a sample including 126 police managers were randomly selected through using segmental survey. Then their views were measured through using a self-made questionnaire with enough reliability (a=0.87), and the achieved data have analyzed through using binominal test.Findings: It is through using the data resulted from invisible control, police visible physical presence, contentment factors, and psychological operations destructive actions of football spectators can be reduced. Among the five above-mentioned factors, both psychological operations and invisible control have had more impact on preventing the spectators from getting into destructive actions.Conclusion: The data resulted from the research indicates that all the five common collective behavior management approaches (psychological operation, contentment approaches, factors and police visible presence) can be used to prevent spectators from getting into collective riotous actions.

Abstract: 

Background and Objective: Chief among the most important factors which facilitate and reinforce creativity and innovation in organizations, is existence of a proper structure and arrangement proportionate with the organizations’ predetermined goals and being in line with organization and management’s theories. The present research conducted aiming at reviewing the relationship between theories of organizations and creativity. At first, the theoretical principles of organizations’ theories are expressed based on three rational, natural and systemic approaches, then the relationship between each of the theories with creativity, and based on scholars’ hypothesis approaches, then the relationship between each of the theories with creativity, and based on scholars’ hypothesis is analyzed.Method: The present applied descriptive research, used content analysis method for analyzing information. On this basis, scholars and experts’ theories collected through literature review and content analysis.Findings: The findings resulted from reviewing organizational theories in the framework of principles and hypotheses of the triple rational, natural and systemic theories (structure, standardization, communication, control, delegation, centralization, flexibility, formality, discretion, laws and regulations, relationship with environment, etc.) indicate the different impact of each one on the staff creativity.Conclusion: Theories based on rational approach have negative impact on creativity, and theories based on natural approach have positive impact on creativity. The more important point is that theories based on systemic and open approaches, have more impact on creativity. In addition, basically creative and innovative people epitomize in such organizations. At the end of the research, a conceptual model with respect to important keywords is offered.

Abstract: 

Background and Objective: Maintenance is one of the major and effective concepts in enhancing the organizational efficiency and effectiveness in every organization. The present research entitled “reviewing the existing status of Police vehicles’ maintenance” aims at explaining the existing situation through benefiting from ESCAP model, which concentrates on 4 basic aspects of organizations in the fields of humanware, hardware and organizationware. The research reviews the existing maintenance of police vehicles, and in case there is a significant gap between the existing situation and desirable situation, while determining the gap and taking into consideration the above-mentioned constituents, some practical approaches may be introduced to reduce the gap.Method: The present research was conducted through using descriptive-survey type. The data was gathered from 50 experts and managers of police vehicles’ maintenance department through using a questionnaire whose validity and reliability was approved (a=0.843).The required data was analyzed through using sample T Tok and Friedman tests.Findings: The results of the analyses indicate that with respect to the requirements and the fourfold dimension raised in ESCAP model in all the four fields, there is significant difference between the existing situation and the desirable situation. Therefore, it is necessary to define and implement the improvement programs based on the determined priorities, in the present research.

Abstract: 

Background and Objective: All over the research some factors and variables such as family, peers, satellite, internet, artists, sportspersons, monthly pocket money received from family as the factors impacting juvenile and teenagers’ tendency toward drug use are considered and examined.Method: This applied research was a descriptive survey. All the 100 people under-25-year-old youngsters in two drug disposal centers in Karaj were the statistical society. A self-made questionnaire, whose validity approved by university professors and experts, and whose reliability approved through using Cronbach Alpha (a= 0.75), used for collecting information. Questions and hypotheses analyzed through benefiting from analytical statistics and regression test.Findings: the results of the test indicate that factors like economy, mass media, reference groups, social institutions in having tendency toward drug use by juvenile and youngsters.Conclusion: Therefore, to reduce the juvenile and youngsters tendency toward drug use, various social institutions (family, school, community) may take measures such as paving grounds for healthy recreations, applying change in the media’s current programs, removing the constraints of domestic reference groups, improving families education level, paying attention more to the children in families by parents, supervising children’s’ membership in peer groups, establishing juvenile police, and concentrating on the conditions of this class of the society to prevent juvenile and youngsters’ from having tendency toward drug use.
