Introduction: Prevention of pregnancy by synthetic steroids is a new event in present century. These pills are the most widely used among contraceptives component. The most serious complications of these pills are thrombosis that has the key roles in raising the risk of death from circulatory problems. But there are doubts whether these contraceptives pills with low dose estrogen can be a risk factor. Considering the few studies in this regard, the aim of this study is to compare cardiovascular disease in women with and without OCP use in selected hospitals of Shiraz University of Medical Sciences. Methods: This is a case control study with 742 samples that took place in 2006-2008. Cases were 317 women with cardiovascular disease and the controls were a group of 371 women without cardiovascular disease between ages of 20-60 years. Data collection tools consist of questionnaire, interview with patients and family, we also used records of patients. Data analyzed with SPSS Version 15.5 with use of odds ratio, logistic regression and other statistical test. Results: 49.1% of cases and 49.9% of controls were used OCP. Analysis showed no statistical relation between the use of OCP and cardiovascular disease (P=0.8, OR: 1.018, CI: 851-22). But significant statistical relation was found between hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia with cardiovascular disease (P<0.0001).Conclusion: The results of this study didn’t show true association between low-dose OCPs and cardiovascular. However, due to the type of study and sample size the result isn’t extendable to other communities, so recommended to repeat this study with another method and more sample size. Also, pills should be prescribed with considering to the cardiovascular risk factors.

After education, knowledge and attitude of patients was assessed in respect of cardiovascular risk factors. Finally, collected data analyzed by SPSS package, chi-square, Fisher exact, Parried t-tests.Results: Patients knowledge in Respect of cardiovascular disease pre (25.93) and post (36.19) education, had a significant difference (P<0.001), also in respect of education of couple (P<0.03) and sex (P<0.05). in case of attitude mean score there was significant difference between pre (23.5) and post (35.7) education, There was significant statistical correlation between education and age (P<0.05), education level (P<0.01), education level of couple (P<0.05) and monthly income (P<0.01).Conclusion: Considering that cardiovascular diseases have an increasing trend of prevalence and knowledge and attitude of patients about them are relatively low and education to cardiac patients is effective in preventing of recurrent hospitalizations and prevalence of these diseases. When compared to a normative sample of Iran, the subjects were above or similar for overall creativity totally and four subscales. When the mean score and number of years of education were considered, no statistically significant difference was found for overall creativity, fluency and originality (P>0.05). However the difference for mean scores of elaboration (F=3.35, P=0.019) and flexibility (F=2.82, P=0.039) was statistically significant. Conclusion: Nursing schools should establish proper, accepting, and trustable atmosphere in order to develop nursing student ̀s thinking, creativity, Self-centered learning abilities.
