Abstract:

Performance measurement system has a critical role in organizations, since the system can demonstrate how much an organization achieves its objectives and specifies the areas that need improvement and consequently managers can make necessary reformation programs to improve their organizational performance. Science and Technology Parks as structures which follow promotion and innovation locally as well as nationally are also deprived of a standardized method to measure their success or failure; a specific and formal performance measurement method that is based on a specific analyzing framework and able to evaluate the performance of Science and Technology Parks. Extracting science and technology parks’ characteristics and the performance measurement systems from literature, we offer a performance measurement framework contained six components including identity and legal structure of Park; main stakeholders’ expectations; expectations from stakeholders; managers’ commitment and proficiency; interactions with universities, research institutions and industries; and finally Park’s real mission and strategies. The latter is the reflection of other components producing performance measures. This framework can be utilized to evaluate the performance of Iran’s as well other Science and Technology Parks outside.

Abstract:

Today's world is a world of enormous advances in phenomena, in which technology is considered one of the most important factors in the production of goods and services. Technology transfer is a complex and difficult process that without adequate research and study may lead to wasting money, time and technology weakening. The purpose of this study is to provide a framework to examine the factors affecting technology transfer with the comparative approach. Therefore, we first briefly discussed the definition of technology transfer and then technology transfer models were discussed in detail. Subsequently, examples of studies conducted in Iran to better understand the issues were presented. Results were obtained by comparing the different theoretical perspectives, and factors affecting technology transfer in ten overall categories of familiarity with market, willingness and ability of the technology transfer and technology receptor, level of technological risk and uncertainty, technology life cycle, organizational interactions, nature of the technology, the aim of the cooperation, economic and financial factors, characteristics of the technology holder (source) and R& D activities were introduced. Each of these factors includes indicators which can be used to assess the models of technology transfer. Finally, based on the findings, the proposed framework is suggested to improve the success and effectiveness of technology transfer projects in Iran.

Abstract:

Experts believe the academic humanities is the platform of all sciences in any countries. Therefore, the academic humanities should provide development platforms before experiential and technical sciences. The movement from training-based universities to entrepreneur-based universities was based on turning theory to practice and knowledge commercialization, which led to the creation of incubators and university spin off enterprises. But something which was neglected was the status of the humanities in the incubators and university spin off enterprises. This paper is a qualitative study which the researchers studied the records, information on the database and interviewed with the experts from the Science and Technology Parks and Incubators. Open and in-depth interviewing method was applied to describe challenges and problems for knowledge commercialization in the field of the academic humanities. In the end, The researchers suggest a model for humanities’ spin off enterprises by considering software technology, in order to move in the post post-modern world and localization of humanities and move towards the creation of a fourth generation university.

Abstract:

Today, organizations are in a dynamic and competitive environment and increasingly need for bolstering up their innovation capabilities by attention to valuable knowledge and power of creation and use of it. Knowledge management is very important in any organization, because organizational innovation does not evolve without dynamic and collaborative knowledge management. Traditional knowledge management systems have been trying to capture formal explicit knowledge management. They could not be successfull in unlocking tacit (implicit) knowledge in the minds of employees. Today, knowledge management 2.0 is based on web 2.0 with enphasis on socialization, collaboration and interaction between people. It tries to capture the largest and most valuable distributed database in any organization, implicit knowledge that is stored in the mind of employees. Each organization which is based on knowledge management 2.0 and social capital, is called an organization 2.0 (enterprise 2.0). It obliterates official controlling and hierarchical order and focuses on socialization and collaboration of mass employees for organizational innovation through social networks. This paper tries to introduce implications of web 2.0 on organizational transforming arising by creation of knowledge management 2.0 in organization 2.0. It assists managers in understanding the leverage roll of social knowledge for development of organizational innovation.

Abstract:

one of the new research increasingly influenced interest of managers and researchers is ambidextrous and impact of it on organizational various aspects. That means what mechanisms can an organization benefit to succeed in both exploration and exploitation from? In this article, the authors have tried to compatible and extend bilateral learning in organizations with reviewing the literature and in-depth overview of the theoretical foundations in the area of mutual learning and way of interacting with organizational knowledge stores i.e. intellectual capital (human capital, organizational capital, social capital and customer capital). Finally, based on three-level model of mutual orientation in organization and combining it with typology of ambidextrous learning, they have accessed to an analytical model that may suggest process and output of necessary steps to access different types of ambidextrous in organization in three levels of input. The resulting conceptual model can be obtained according to the logic of comprehensive cooperation as a guide for many future researches in areas of mutual orientation, ambidextrous learning and knowledge assets.

Abstract:

It is widely acknowledged that relying solely on physical capital and labor as main sources of the economic growth would cause countries to lag behind others in the process of sustainable development, and the productivity improvement through technological advancements is the only way that ensures the continued economic growth. So, it is important to study the economy’s potential of technological innovations and capacity of technology absorption in order to allocate the scarce recourses efficiently. Therefore, the main objective of this study is to investigate the capacity of technology absorption in the Iranian Economy. To that end, using data from the Iranian economy over the period 1347-1390, the technological absorption capability hypothesis of Teixeira and Fortuna (2010) has been tested. According to this hypothesis, the existence of adequate human capital could help the economy to absorb the technological spillovers caused by FDI, importing capital goods, and the collaborations between countries. Furthermore, this hypothesis states that the higher is the R and D expenditures, the higher is the technological absorption capability. Using the co-integration method of Johansen and Juselius (1990), it is found that the existence of adequate human capital in Iran has enhanced the technological absorption capability of the Iranian economy. However, the R& D expenditures have no significant effect on the absorption capability of the Iranian economy. In sum, the Iranian economy can benefit from the technological spillovers because of its capabilities to absorb the new technologies.
