Abstract: 

The purpose of this article is to study the performance of television of IRIB in the field of science and technology, and identify the major elements of TV programming with the science-promoting approach. In this research, using the field study method and by exploratory interviews, the national media performance in the field of science and technology was examined. The major elements of programming have been extracted and analyzed with the science-promoting approach. The findings show that scientific programs have been featured with the rate of 4% out of whole TV programs during the last decade. The highest rate of broadcasting of science and technology programs from IRIB TV was in 2011. Finally, some points must be regarded in high Programming with science- promoting approach, such as comprehensive research in programming, selecting television program creators especially producers who are familiar with the promotion of science, simplifying complex concepts, strengthening and documenting scientific topics, the avoidance of pseudo- science and anti-science, and the relevance and being updated of the subject program.

Abstract: 

Infotainment which is increasingly becoming an important phenomenon in the political and media world, has also become popular in Persian language television in recent years. This research studied the structural and content typology of six programs (Shabake Nim, Doctor Copy, Antenna, Parasite, Serfan Jahate Ettala, Hassas Nasho) in the three TV channels Manoto, VOA, and IRIB television using qualitative content analysis method. Based on the results of the analysis, three macro-level structural types can be distinguished: Entertaining, Informing, and Hybrid. These programs have common structural components, such as the use of intimate literature and pursuit informing in non- entertaining genre. Three types of typology can be presented in terms of content: The kind of political and critical orientation, the levels of criticize and attention to the structural and basic aspects, and the extent of pursuing non-political issues. These programs, in general, have common content features, such as emphasize and paying attention to the economic and welfare problems of people, and the wrong behaviors and contradictory words of the country officials.

Abstract: 

While the number of media outlets increase, audiences try to choose media that is more divers and attractive as well as matching with their criteria and interests. Due to the importance and impact of advertising in attracting audiences and the need to measure its effectiveness, the purpose of this paper is to evaluate the effect of TV advertising of the Refah Bank on the TV audiences. So, the question is how could be provided a comprehensive model with the desired dimensions to measure the effectiveness of television advertising? The research method is applied research and causal correlation based on the purpose and the relationship between the dimensions of the effectiveness of television advertising, and use causal modeling or structural equation modeling due to the testing of a specific model of the relationship between variables. Also, the information was gathered using a researcher-made questionnaire. In this study, bank customers are considered as an example of a television audience. The findings indicate that entertaining, communicating, content, and informing dimensions of TV advertising directly and indirectly affect the audiences’ tendency to television advertising through emotional reactions.

Abstract: 

Children are vulnerable to traffic situations, but in urban life, they inevitably are in traffic situations. Therefore, training traffic skills is essential to safe them. Traffic education is also important in terms of preparing children being responsible citizens in adulthood. Considering the capacity of baby TV programs to train traffic, in this article, texts from two specific children's programs ("Rangin Kaman" and "Hezaro Shasto Shounzdah") have been studied based on three major approaches to traffic education. Semantic analysis of texts suggests that, while explicit educational messages provide recommendations to safe children in traffic situations, disable and inactive images of children as their personality is represented, and the lack of practical training influences empowering them in traffic actions. Also, the emphasis on personal safety undermines social responsibility in societal teachings.

Abstract: 

Given that Iranian society is a religious community, adherence to the national and religious culture and the values derived from this culture in television advertising is indispensable, but nowadays, ads produced in the country do not fit into the cultural and social issues of the country, many of the produced ads are the only copy of the world's most famous and best-selling ads. So, the purpose of this study is to answer two questions: What are the ethical codes in TV advertising in Iran? And then, how are these ethical codes prioritized for industry professionals and consumers? The research method is applied in terms of purpose, and for collecting data, descriptive survey. The statistical population of this research is in one group, experts in the industry of advertising, and in other group, the students of Faculty of Management University of Tehran. Sample sizes are 30 and 384 in the experts and the students’ groups respectively. The results show that the ethical code of "honesty and truth" is of the highest importance from the point of view of both students and experts. And finally, identified codes are categorized in 9 main branches.

Abstract: 

Many of our futuristic thoughts and decisions about the changes and strategies to reach them are influenced by our imagination and the image of future, besides being optimistic or pessimistic about the future. These somehow suggest our imagination of the future. After outlining the topic and explaining the importance of future imaginations, the study assessed what they are in the future thinkers point of view. Then it addressed the mechanisms of making these images and explained the position of mass media in the processes that affect these mechanisms. The paper then studied the referendum on the departure of the UK from the European Union (BRC) as a case. Then it studied the role of some British mass media in interacting with the actors agree and disagree, which led to create personalized images of people from the world after the Brexit; The images of the future, which showed the departure of the UK from the European Union, in terms of voting behavior.

Abstract: 

This study aimed to investigate the relationship between the use of social networking with peer relationships and academic performance of students in third grade was carried out. Type of research is descriptive and correlation method. Subjects, students in third grade boy first two regional public education in Tehran on 95-96 school year 162 students who were selected using multi-stage cluster random sampling. Data on social networks use variable Soleimani questionnaire (1394) for high school students and peer attachment quality information to help log peer attachment (Armsden & Greenberg, 1987) were collected. Academic Performance Index as well as the average educational subjects were students last semester. For statistical analysis of research data Pearson correlation and regression analysis were used. The results showed that the use of social networks is one of communication and trust unknown peers and therefore the quality and level will be relations with peers. The results also showed a significant negative correlation between the use of social networks with academic performance. Finally, theoretical model tests showed that the use of social networks and peer relationships can be predicted changes to the academic performance of students (R2=%75.7).
