Abstract:

In this study, the effect of Sabrzard extract (Aleo vera) on growth of Shyrbot (Barbus grypus) were investigated. For this purpose three concentrations of Aloe vera extract, 0. 1, 0. 2 and 0. 5% (in triplicate) were mixed with the feed and the fish were fed with this diet for 60 days. Control group was fed with the control diet without Aloe vera extract. Growth parameters include weight gain, percent of weight gain, increase of length, condition factor, feed consumption, feed conversion, specific growth rate, protein efficiency ratio and food efficiency were measured. Results indicated that feeding Shyrbot with Aloe Vera extract 0. 2% lead to significant increase in the quality index, percent of weight gain, specific growth rate and weight gain (P<0. 05). Also feeding with extract 0. 5% lead to increase of quality index (P<0. 05). Effect of oral administration of different doses of Aloe vera on feed conversion, protein efficiency ratio, feed efficiency comparison between treatments and control group was different significantly (P<0. 05). Altogether we can say that the better doses of Aloe vera in diet for growth excitement and blood parameters are 0. 2 and 0. 5%.

Abstract:

The purpose of this study is to determine the diversity and the accumulation of macrobenthos of Bahoush River and assess the condition of water quality using Welch's index. Sampling was done in summer and winter seasons during 2012 year. Sediment sampling was done three times for each station. Macrobenthos samples were collected using van veen grab with 0. 025 cross-section, (they were fixed using 5% buffered formalin) so were counted and identified in the laboratory. Further, physicochemical parameters of water including temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen (DO), water salinity was measured at each station. The diversity index was examined using Shannon-Weiner formula. Dominant index was examined using Simpson formula. Species richness was examined using Margalof formula and water quality was assessed using Welch index. The identified samples were composed of 13 genus, 10 families and 3 classes. The most identified species in stations belongs to Caenidae, Lymnaeidae and Chironomidae families. The results of the study indicated that according to the identified samples and Welch index, water quality in Bahoush River was medium.

Abstract:

The aim of this study was estimated the ecological indices of diversity, richness, dominance and evenness of zooplankton community of warm water fish ponds in Gonbade Kavous city at east of Golestan Province. The sampling was done during one culture period from June to November 2011. The results showed that, there is no significant differences between diversity, dominance and evenness ecological indices at 6 ponds observed (P>0. 05) but there is significant differences between richness index at 6 ponds (P<0. 05). Diversity, richness, dominance and evenness indices value ranged from 0. 43-0. 77, 0. 25-0. 61, 0. 54-0. 72 and 0. 36-0. 73 respectively. Although, the diversity, richness, dominance and evenness indices showed higher association in ponds 2, 1, 3 and 2 but the lower association occurred in ponds 3, 4-6 commonly, 2 and 1. The correlation analysis between zooplankton community and ponds water physico-chemical parameters showed that total density of zooplankton community had significant correlation with NO3, PO4 and P-PO4-0. 926, 0. 939 and 0. 952 respectively. Other ecological indices had no correlation relative with other ponds water physico-chemical parameters. The results showed that diversity, richness, dominance and evenness ecological indices of zooplankton community in fish ponds affected by ecosystem management, climate condition and grower fishes.

Abstract:

In this study was conducted with rainbow trout of land and fresh water in autumn and winter in Tajan River downstream areas. Duration of study was in November to March at 120 days. Two size frequencies were measured of 34. 91± 14. 0 SE and 60. 90± 13. 0 SE g) with 3 replicates of 200 individuals in a pool of 16 m2 with a sprinkling of aeration and water flow of 2. 0 LPs. Feeding took placed at three times due to high turbidity, so using floating extruded feed. Fish nutritional and water physicochemical parameters were measured. The data showed that only in 5 warm months (June to September) water temperature was recorded less than 20° C which showed suitable condition for salmon rearing. Data expressed only two parameters, turbidity and suspended solid were determined over the standard limitation. Therefore, planktonic organisms due to opacity factor had no impact on fish growth. The present study showed due to suitable initial weight of the storage, there was a significant difference between growth and nutritional parameters in both one and two experimental treatments, survival rate (respectively 91. 5 and 93. 83), condition factor (respectively 1. 34, 1. 14), feed conversion ratio (respectively 1. 37 and 1. 66), specific growth rate (respectively 1. 63 and 1. 39) and protein efficiency ratio (respectively 1. 69, 1. 39) (P <0. 05), Although both treatments showed appropriate amounts than conventional breeding conditions.

Abstract:

The Feeding habits of Clupeonella cultriventris caspia Bordin, 1904 in Iranian waters were investigated by examining the stomach contents of 240 specimens collected in 2008. The mean of fork length, weight common kilka were 101. 8± 7. 2 mm, 10. 6± 2. 4 gr. Condition factor calculated 1. 9± 0. 12. The results of this study show that their diet consisted of different prey, Copepoda representing the most important prey group (FP=59. 6%) as a magor food items and Acartia tonsa the dominant prey species (100%). The others prey were Cirripedia (Cypris balanus) (FP=37. 7%) as a secondry food items and Cladocera (Podon polyphemoides) (FP=2. 7%) that as a accidentally fed. In summer, the fish fed on a wider density )504± 101 specimen per fish) of food items than in the others seaons. The lowest feeding activity was recorded in spring (112± 10 specimen per fish). The mean of RLG was 0. 39± 0. 8. The amount RLG<1, so common kilka is carnivore. Now, due to the dominance of species A. tonsa in the Caspian sea, especially in coastal areas, as a habitat suitable food is inevitable for Common Kilka.

Abstract:

The aim of this study was evaluate the behavioral responses of rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) exposed to changes ammonia. For this purpose were placed separately 8 rainbow trout (average weight of 6± 2g) in the treatment and control groups with four replicates in five-liter tanks; Each the tanks have a water inlet and outlet. The testing process was divided into three periods; the first period was the increase in ammonia treatments. Second period includes a fixed value of ammonia at the highest level of interest in the treatments. The third period involves reducing the ammonia to the initial value at the start of the experiment. The Swimming patterns was including six characteristic; average swimming speeds, total movement, move summarily, percent move, the average angular change in movement, average distance from center. Results showed that there was a significant difference between pattern of fish swimming in ammonia treatment compared with the control group (P<0. 05). Also, there was a significant difference between treatment swimming patterns, in test first periods compared to the test end periods (p<0/05). It seems the results of this study showed that the pattern of fish swimming in the face of environmental stresses will not only changed, but also has certain patterns. Also, this study showed that more study behavioral patterns of fishes is an effective way to control environmental stresses.
