Abstract: 

The present research aimed to study perceived family environment and positive mental states viz. happiness, optimism and hope among the adolescents of two different cultures, Iran and India. The total sample comprised 400 adolescents aged 16-19 from Iran and India; Out of which, half were males and half were females. Family environment scale, The Oxford Happiness Questionnaire, Adult Trait Hope Scale, and The Life Orientation Test were performed and raw scores were subjected for various statistical analyses viz. Results clearly show that the family environment dimensions viz. Relationship, Personal Growth (Goal Oriented), and System Maintenance, are correlated with positive mental states viz. happiness, optimism and hope among the adolescents of the two above-mentioned cultures. It was also shown that there are cultural and gender differences among the studied variables.

Abstract: 

The present research has been carried out to investigate the relation between mental health and mental hardiness of university students; therefore, 184 students of gynecological and nursing university of Gachsaran were randomly selected and tested by "General Health Questionnaire" and "mental hardiness Questionnaire". The results obtained from the data analysis indicated that mental health correlates significantly, positively with mental hardiness. In contrast, the criteria of mental health (physical symptoms, disorder in social function and depression) are found to correlate significantly, negatively with subjects' mental hardiness. It's worth mentioning that significance level was measured a<0/05.

Abstract: 

The research purpose is to  assess the relation between attachment styles and locus of control with martial satisfaction ,hence the sample comprised 120 individuals(60males, 60 females)who had been randomly selected from the parents' case files referred for their children speech therapy and were tested by "Attachment Styles , Locus of Control and Martial Satisfaction Questionnaires". Findings do not confirm a significant relationship between attachment styles and marital adjustment; moreover, our findings point toward the relationship between attachment styles and locus of control but don't support the greater predictive power of secure attachment style with regard to marital adjustment.

Abstract: 

In the study reported here, the researcher intended to find out the prevalence of procrastination among Azad University (Roudehen Branch) students and its relationship with anxiety and depression, as well. Accordingly, 400 students were selected from all the educational groups and grades studying in the academic year ran from 1387 to 1388. Results of the test performed on the subjects demonstrated that over a half of subjects (61%)experienced high(24%) and very high (37%)level  of procrastinationx; moreover, procrastination correlates significantly, positively with anxiety and depression, although  procrastination would only explain 3.5 and 3 of variance concerning the anxiety and depression respectively.

Abstract: 

The study was aimed at the effectiveness of group logo therapy in reducing the mental symptoms of female patients suffering from breast cancer; thus, 24 patients diagnosed with breast cancer and under chemotherapy who had been hospitalized in Rasoul-e-Akram hospital located in Rasht were selected through the accessibility mode. Having been divided into two (control and experimental) groups, subjects underwent the treatment. Following this, the experimental group attended 10 ninety-minute group logo therapy counseling sessions. Having compared the pre test and posttest results, it was concluded that group logo therapy had reduced mental disorders such as physical complaints, sensitivity towards interpersonal depression, anxiety, aggression, and phobia.

Abstract: 

This study attempted to identify the students' identity styles and to investigate the impact of identity styles and emotional intelligence on academic performance and achievement motive of MA students, hence 450 students attending different university colleges of Tehran Azad University (Central Branch) were selected through multi-stage cluster random sampling. “Identity Style, Achievement Motive and Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire” then tested the above-mentioned group. In this regard their degree results were also calculated. Results indicated that the highest average score with regard to the students' identity styles belonged to the normative and informative groups respectively; furthermore, analyzing the acquired data supports the effect of identity style and emotional intelligence on achievement motive; however, no significant relationship was perceived between identity style, emotional intelligence and achievement motive with academic performance.

Abstract: 

This study set out to draw a comparison between mental health of teachers teaching typical and atypical students. The statistical population involved all the teachers teaching typical and atypical students in Rafsanjan, out of which 120 individuals were selected through cluster random sampling and were then tested by mental health checklist. Results indicated that there's a significant difference with regard to the scale of loneliness between the teachers teaching typical and atypical students.

Abstract: 

The research purpose is to look into the relationship between emotion regulation, mental stresses and body image with eating disorders of women in Ahvaz. The total sample comprised 145 females who were selected through the accessibility mode. "Emotion Regulation Questionnaire", Mental Stress Questionnaire, Eating Disorder Questionnaire and Body Image Questionnaire" were performed. The data acquired by the regression analysis demonstrated that mental stresses, eating disorders and its related criteria were significantly, positively related to one another with regard to anorexia and hyperorexia; however, body image and eating disorders were significantly negatively related to one another.
