Today, mental health of staff is one of the concerns of researchers and managers of departments and agencies. In this way, it seems coping skills as one of cognitive strategies, bring healthy habits and prevent psychological and physical damage caused by stress. Research suggests that a person who knows of coping strategies and applys them properly, his mental health will be guaranteed. Therefore, the present study investigated the effectiveness of coping skills training on general health and self-esteem of women employees in NAJA. Research methodology is pre-experimental, single-group with pre-test and post-test. 15 female NAJA employees in Tehran, who were available sample, were trained in 10 sessions for coping skills. General Health Questionnaire (GHQ) and Self-Esteem Inventory of Cooper Smith (SEI) were used to collect data. Also, dependent t test was used for analysis.The results indicated that there are significant differences between the pre-test and the post test in social self-esteem and general health. It seems, coping skills can replace positive emotions instead of negative emotions in dealing with daily stress. So, it led to uper general healththe in person. Also, this training sessions may bring position in that competency, development, capability, adequacy, reliability, independence and individual freedom, especially in the field of social relations and friendly relations be created. Then, these led to increased social self-esteem in trained persons.
