Higher education plays an essential role in many aspects of development in all aspects. Students, faculty and scientific way of development of each country involved. Faculty members are involved in the development of this research. This study is an applied research survey was conducted. The study, based on existing scientific literature to extract the components of social development objective and quantitative data were assessed components of the study was also determined. Collecting this study, a structured questionnaire with 43 items that refer to the study and identification indicator of social development (Using the Delphi technique) Azad Armaki and colleagues (Armaki, Mobaraki and Shahbazi, 2012, 19) questions in the questionnaire was designed and developed. The study included 7250 people of all Ph.D. students of science and research that uses sampling table Morgan, 367 people were estimated to sample. The findings show that the faculty of social cohesion and consensus, the quality of life of citizens, increasing security, social security, and ethics in promoting social development and generally have a positive and significant role in social development and in view of the differences in age, gender and whether or not the respondent is a member of the faculty. The results indicate that faculty members in various aspects of social development from the perspective of qualitative and quantitative role and social development planning should not overlook the importance and potential of this segment of society in the development process of the operation.
