Social capital as an essential tool has a high functionality and applicability in explaining the issues such as social harm and crime. Due to the importance of social capital in reducing the crime rate, the study was conducted to elaborate on the sociological impacts of social capital within the group and outside the group (intentional assault). Questionnaire was used to collect the required data. The statistical sample has been all the men convicted of intentional assault in 2013 prisoned in Sari, Babol, and Ghaem-Shahr cities. Descriptive and inferential statistical methods were used to analyze the collected data. The findings suggest that the relationship between social capital and crime trends is a complex one; in a sense that increase in in-group negative social capital leads to increase in crime rate but increase in in-group negative social capital leads to decrease in crime rate.

Cell phon is among the newborn phenomenon of todays’ world which plays significant role among people. The basic issue to be dealt with in the study is the role of communication technologies in the public security. The study aims at clarifying the role of Bluetooth technology in the public security. 8000 of the university students of Tehran Azad university formed thestatistical-population of the study. 321 of the population were randomely selected. Questionnaire was used to collect the required data. The findings of the study demonstrated that transferring explicit contents leads to attenuation of sense of ethical security in the society.

The use of satellite receivers proved to have bad effects on the life qualities of Iranian users. I.R.I law does not allow such phenomenon, by the ordinary people. I.R.I police started implementing a plan named “Evadication of satellite receivers plan” to combat the use of satellite by the public. Studies show that the plan could notfulfill the predetermined ends. The present study has been conducted to determine the relationship between banning satellite use and the users’ tendency toward reusing. Questionnaire was used to collect the required data. The findings demonstrated that the users are significantly inclined to reuse the satellite equipments after being banned.

The youngesters’ tendencies toward crime is not a new phenomenon, but has recently turned into a hot issue. The present study tries to test the hypothesis that “there is a relationship between the youngesters’ tendencies toward crime and factors such as dissociation of norms, inappropriate behavioral models, law education, inappropriate social environment, cultural communication and evolution, financial pressures etc.” Questionnaire was used to collect the required data. The findings demonstrated that there is a significant relationship between the youngesters’ tendencies toward crime and the above-mentioned factors.

Social netwroks can have various sever threats and harms in different environments. Making communications easier and faster, such networks can lead to a plethora of challenges from security perspectives. The present paper tries to elaborate on the software threats of social networks in the police intelligence and criminal investigation missions. This is an applied descriptive study. Questionnaire and interview were used as the instruments of data collection. The findings showed that there was a significant relationship between the users’ quarrel some behaviours and the police intelligence ana criminal investigation missions.

Today professional criminals commit crime without any feelings of guilt and impose great many challenges on the criminal justice system. The present study aims at identifying such criminals and profiling them. This study tries to help the agents in criminal justice system discriminate between professional and nonprotessional criminals in light of developments made in criminology. The study is descriptive-analytic in nature. The required data was gathered benefitting from different sources such asbooks, ebooks, journals, and dissertations. The findings show that professional criminals usually commit economic and financial crimes which bring about many different challenges for the criminal justice system.
