Abstract: 

Information Subject Gateways are providing access to the necessary quality controlled databases among the vast resources for users of the web and saving them from the confusion and perplexity among the sources on the web. The main objective of this research is creating Iranian Gateway for Scientific, Research, and Technological Information as a valuable source for use by academics and researchers inside and outside of Iran. Method of This study was descriptive survey and system design. To design and build this gateway, first gateways literature review studied and the Iranian research needs were identified. A Checklist was developed in order to selection of types sources. The evaluation criteria were specified databases and search criteria. Collecting information on different databases was performed. Based on the findings, the most prominent of information gathered includes ten original formats: journals, theses / dissertations, research reports, scientific conferences, library, patent, lectures, educational short courses, scientific associations, and university books. Resources are categorized according to six main themes of Basic Sciences, Medical Sciences, Engineering, Agriculture, Veterinary, Humanities, Art and Architecture and their sub-themes. Then the infrastructure system software was developed and information gathered loaded on it. This system is the first information gateway In Iran and is available from the Address dar. irandoc. ac. ir to everyone. In Iran, scientific research and technological information is increasing and various resources in various fields are provided on the web. Access to some of the information from a unit window that has the necessary qualities could increase the efficiency and effectiveness of searches. Such a system known as the quality controlled information gateway is a new service for Iranian researchers.

Abstract: 

This study aims to investigate Iran scientific production pre-revolutionary by 2016 with the emphasis on the conferences proceedings, highly cited and hot papers, and open access papers, in the light of the Law of Economic, Social, and Cultural Development Plan of Iran. Descriptive– analytical method used. To achieve research objectives data extracted from Clarivate Analytics (Thomson Reuters) using search strategy CU=IRAN. Analysis is based on conferences proceedings, highly cited and hot papers, and open access papers indexed in Web of Science during 1931-2016. The findings showed that the conferences papers had a significant growth over time, and in general, before the Islamic Revolution, no conferences papers from Iran were registered in this database, and the growth of these articles was after the victory of the Islamic Revolution, so that from one conference paper in 1989 to 3529 articles in 2015 (and 502 papers for first seven months in 2016). Also, the status of highly cited and hot papers indicates that in general, these papers have been compiled from 1134 highly cited papers since 2006 and 45 are hot papers that have been registered in this database. On the other hand, the status of open access articles suggests that the researchers are more likely to welcome these articles. However, the significant growth of these articles dates back to the fourth decade, with 25813 open access papers, most of which are published in 2015 with 4502 papers. The findings showed that the annual compound growth of conference papers over the second period of the second development plan was 47. 12%, which shows a decrease in the third plan (19. 64%) with a negative growth of 8. 38%. In the fourth plan, the growth rate of the articles of the conferences is 35. 37% and represents 6. 6% growth more than third plan. Between the fifth and fourth plans, we experience 18. 82% of downtrend. There is no negative growth in the highly cited and hot papers between the second and the fifth plans, but the growth of these papers is not impressive. During the first to fifth plans, the development of open access articles has been significant, but the growth rate of a five-year plan is not prominent to another plan. In this regard, the findings showed that in the fifth development plan, we observed a decrease of 6. 59% compared to the fourth plan. Although Iran has achieved a high status in terms of scientific quantity, it is necessary to pay more attention to applied quality research, in accordance with the Law of the Economic, Social, and Cultural Development Plan of Iran, and the responsible bodies and planners must prioritize this issue. With the efforts of the Iranian scholars and the necessary support in this regard, the influential presence of science and technology in the welfare of society is observed.

Abstract: 

The origin of many of the problems encountered in research in the field of knowledge and information science (such as nonapplicability, repetition, and lack of innovation) relates to the uncertainty of research needs and priorities in this field. In this regard, the purpose of this study is to identify and categorize important research topics in knowledge and information science, and to measure their significance in order to determine research priorities in this field. The present research is a theoretical-practical type and a research method-analytical and survey method. The research population consists of faculty and doctoral students in the field of knowledge and information science in the universities of Tehran, Kharazmi, Al-Zahra, Mashhad Ferdowsi, Shiraz, Esfahan and Shahid Chamran in the academic years 2015-2016. Due to the limited research community (165 persons), a questionnaire was distributed among all the people in the distribution community (electronically and in person) and finally 112 questionnaires were collected (return rate 63%). For data analysis, inferential statistics (Friedman rank test) has been used. In order to identify research priorities in knowledge and information science, the contents of this field and the opinions of the faculty of this field have been reviewed. The results of these studies identified 120 topics in knowledge and information science that were divided into 22 general axes. The results indicate that the research community should consider new and applied topics, future topics and issues related to information technology to the traditional topics and theoretical topics for further research in this field. This is due to developments in the field of knowledge and information science in recent years (including changing the title of the course and, to some extent, changing the curriculum, and then changing the content of the discipline, the changes brought about by technology entry into the field and Moving further into this area becomes more interdisciplinary).

Abstract: 

Scientometric research with the ability to assess scientific research and using multiple indicators in explaining capacities, scientific performance and technology in different dimensions has increased the attention of researchers. This study aims to meta-analyze the Iranian researches in scientometrics from the perspective of uses of scientific databases as data sources in this research field. The method of this study is meta-analysis. The study population consisted of 170 documents (cases) that all were chosen based on the criteria of credibility within the survey. The articles in scientometrics field were retrieved from the years 1392 to 1395. In first step, the assumptions of homogeneity and bias were checked and fixed effect size was interpreted according to Cohen model. The two familiar databases, Web of Science and Scopus have the most uses. Finding shows homogeneity of effect size and unbiasedness of the studies analyzed in our research. The effect size of the prevalence of information databases use in scientometric reseach was 0. 869 (P= 0. 000). Results also show that with the increase of year, using external scientific databases have been increased. Meta-analysis results indicate that the main sources of researches are foreign scientific information databases. However, the internal databases were used in some studies but because of inability to extract the overall output of the retrieved results, and their mismatch with scientometric and statistics software, have little ability for use in this field of research. Planning of native scientific databases is essential for becoming a citation database as the most important tool for assessing the country’ s scientific and technological system and scientometrics studies.

Abstract: 

The present study atempts to explain the strengths of altmetrics and compare them with those of citation-based indicators, and thereby reveal opportunities provided by social web in research evaluation. Applying a qualitative thematic analysis method, it studied the contents of research and theoretical works about the citation and altmetrics indicators in order to extract their authors’ views about the indicators’ strengths. The findings led to the identification of many strengths of altmetrics compared to the citation analysis including openness and ease of access, non-dependence on commercial databases, impact assessment of preprints, measuring different types of research impact, promoting peer-review processes, reducing language biases, impact assessment of young researchers, accelerating the evaluation process, calculating the impacts on all kinds of audiences, predicting the future research impact, evaluating the impact of uncited papers, inter-disciplinary comparisons, evaluating a wide variety of sources and researchers’ outputs, and analyzing low-cited or slowlycited subjecs. Althougth both indices have many strengths, altmetrics has more that can compensate for the weaknesses of citation analysis. As a result, using them together can make the results of research evaluation more reliable and increase their accuracy and precision.

Abstract: 

Knowledge management is one of the main driver of innovation in organizations that acts in a set form of processes and technology. In different organizations the trend of knowledge process maturity has its specific dynamics. For understanding this dynamics, a system analyzing is required. Therefore, the aim of this paper is the system analysis of knowledge management processes and study of the recommended solutions and policies for reducing the gap between the ideal and the current level of knowledge management processes in a case study. In this paper, system dynamics has been used for analyzing different policies and reducing the distance between the current and ideal level of knowledge management processes (knowledge identification, knowledge acquisition, knowledge sharing, knowledge protecting). This research has been applied on the case study of industrial engineering department in Ardakan University. Results show that the investment on knowledge acquisition in comparison with the other policies will increase the number of educational courses as well as the level of knowledge acquisition process. Thus, the total level of knowledge management will be increased. In addition, it is recommended to the mangers that the delay and adjust time for growing the knowledge processes levels should be reduced.

Abstract: 

Effective knowledge management (KM) is essential to almost any organization. Regardless of its size or subject matter, an organization should use the knowledge it possesses in the most effective way possible. But the implementation of KM is still challenging. One of the solutions for this challenge which mentioned in KM literature is knowledge management roadmapping. Roadmaps provide a graphical means for exploring and communicating the relationships among any types of knowledge in the organization. Therefore, in this research, a framework for roadmapping organizational knowledge management has developed. In the first phase, beneficiary systematic literature review, qualitative content analysis and interview with expertise, the basic components of organizational knowledge management (OKM) roadmapping have determined and specified. These components have divided into seven main categories: “ causal conditions” , “ OKM Roadmap components” , “ roadmapping requirements” , “ requirements for successful OKM implementation” , “ OKM Roadmap preparation and the development process” , “ visual and content characteristics of an OKM roadmap” and “ OKM Roadmap outcomes” . After that, by calculating the correlation (Pearson correlation coefficients) between these components “ OKM roadmap framework” was proposed. The final framework provides a flow between components which describe the way of drawing a roadmap for OKM implementation. The reliability of research has been evaluated by Kappa coefficient (0. 743).

Abstract: 

One of the key components of brand equity is associations that consumers have about the brand and these associations will guide them to choose the brand. These associations usually considered as organized network involves models of gathering the networks in minds and determine the brand value for consumers as a brand image. The aim of doing this research is eliciting and mapping the network of IranDoc (Iranian Research Institute for Information Science and Technology) from the perspective of its consumers. To reach this aim, at this research a new method named Brand Concept Mapping (BCM) has been used in order to eliciting brand associations concept map from consumers mind, aggregating individuals map and mapping a consensus brand map that has been obtained with one by one interviews with clients and finally has been led to identify the clients perception of the IranDoc. The statistical society of this research include all of the peoples that recourse to IranDoc’ s search information forum for receiving research services and the sample for surveying has been chosen with convenience sampling method. It is found that IranDoc client’ s mental associations network involves central and desired associations such as “ thesis internal database” and “ suitable service offering” . Considering the limitation of marketing research that has been done about the brand of institute offering research services, understanding and managing the IranDoc associations and key and latent factors that affect formation of these associations in order to improve the service quality according to them cause improvement of IranDoc image.

Abstract: 

The appearance of social networks has been one of the most important events in recent decades. One of the issues raised in these networks is how to trust. The purpose of this paper is to examine the impact of security, trust and privacy about information sharing on mobile social networks. The study also describes how users’ gender moderates the privacy and security impact on trust. The current research is a descriptive survey. In this research, data from 190 social network users were gathered through a questionnaire designed in the form of a Telegram bot and examined using structural equation modeling techniques. Also, regarding to measure validity, convergent validity and divergent validity and in order to fit reliability, Cronbach’ s alpha and composite reliability have been used. Analysis of the findings of the study shows that the security and privacy have a direct impact on users’ trust. The findings also show that perceived security acts as a mediator between privacy and trust. The results show that trust has a significant impact on information sharing behavior and the impact of privacy and security on trust is stronger for men. In addition, the impact of trust on the desire to give information is more than desire to get information. In this study, a considerable effect between desire to get information and information sharing wasn’ t observed.

Abstract: 

Virtual communities on the Internet, allows users to communicate, exchange information and share knowledge in order to meet their needs. Many of the virtual communities failed due to members’ lack of willingness to share knowledge with each other. The main purpose of this research is to focus on the factors affecting interpersonal trust and investigate the effects of interpersonal trust on intention to knowledge sharing in virtual communities. Increase in interpersonal trust can increase motivation of virtual members in order to increase knowledge sharing. So, we need to understand the factors affecting interpersonal trust and knowledge sharing behavior of members. Based on the extensive literature review, a questionnaire-based survey was conducted and the experimental data were collected from 27 communities. So in this study, the effect of different factors, on interpersonal trust and impact of interpersonal trust on knowledge sharing intention was evaluated between 336 virtual community members. Data were analyzed using structured equation modeling, in order to test the measurement model using confirmatory factor analysis, and to test the structural model. Results indicated that interpersonal trust has a significant impact on intend to share knowledge among users of virtual communities and factors including ability, benevolence, integrity, predictability, competence, shared vision, knowledge growth, and Create personal connections have a positive influence on interpersonal trust. This study may help managers to manage virtual communities and promote the factors affecting interpersonal trust and stimulate the sharing of knowledge.

Abstract: 

The main objective of this research is to discover the effect of the quality of ebanking services on the level of customer loyalty by focusing on management information systems in order to improve the level of services at the Bank of Commerce, City of Shiraz. The survey method is descriptive and applied. The statistical society of the research was infinite and consisted of all customers of Shiraz Trade Bank, which was sampled by random sampling and using the Morgan table of 384 individuals. The data collection method was a standard questionnaire. Cronbach’ s alpha coefficient was used to measure its reliability. The calculated coefficient for the questionnaire was 0. 904, which indicates the adequacy of the questionnaire. Data analysis in this study was performed by SPIAS software version 20 and Liserl version 8. 8 at two descriptive and inferential levels. Confirmatory factor analysis was performed to determine the construct validity and conceptual model of research and fitness indicators on the data of the research. The results confirm the goodness of the questionnaire. The results of this study showed that the quality of electronic services has a significant relationship with customer loyalty and a positive and significant correlation with loyalty is reported at 0. 653, which indicates its high impact on loyalty. Also, the quality of services has a positive correlation with privacy of 0. 54. Therefore, it can be said that the quality of services has a significant relationship with privacy. The quality of services has a positive correlation with the implementation of services of 0. 888 and the quality of services has a positive correlation with system availability of 0. 819.

Abstract: 

Considering the use of information technology and the increase of software provided by software providers, it is important to select the appropriate software from the software provided. Therefore, organizations need to have the tools to be able to examine and compare all aspects of the software offered in the tenders to select the appropriate software that meets the needs of the organization. It can be said that choosing the appropriate software system is a multi-criteria decisionmaking problem. In this paper, using the literature of research and opinions of experts, the indexes of the selection of appropriate software system are specified, then an executive model is presented to select the appropriate software from the software provided in the tenders of the organizations. . In the design of this model, the hierarchical analysis process has been used. Also, to illustrate how the model is implemented, a case study is conducted on the selection of software for data storage.

Abstract: 

most of the day today services we receive are based upon computer systems. Services such as information searching or online shopping are considered among the most frequent online information systems’ services. Users assess and process the information they receive from information systems. The theory of mind information processing asserts that humans process and analyze the information they receive from their environment. This theory also deals with the perception and recognition. User-interface paves the way regarding using and reaching the goal for the ultimate users. If user-interface is designed properly, the way through which the user reaches his/her goal would be a logical one; otherwise the lack of solidarity would result in system misuse. In other words if the userinterface grabs the user’ s attention, the interaction with the user would be successful. For studying the human-computer interaction a lot of methods have been proposed. Eye-tracking method is one of them. This method makes it possible to gather qualitative and quantitative data in this regard. Eyesight is very important regarding human perception, thus its data could be invaluable. The basis of this method is mind-eye theory which says eyes’ movements could show the attention of a person regarding a picture or stimuli. This attention could report passion or problem. There are different types of eye movement, such as a fixation and saccade. Eye tracking delivers a voluminous data regarding users’ attention in the form of quick and unconscious processes. Analyzing the eye-movement data is hard and its data extraction is tedious. Moreover the test environment and users’ health are also of great importance in this regard. At last one must mention that eye movement data is invaluable for assessing the bottom-up cognition of the world and the top-down perception of mind.

Abstract: 

Now Persian digital resources allocate very little volume in digital libraries. This shows some problems. Therefore, the main objective of this study is to identify e-lending issues in digital libraries from the viewpoints of Iranian electronic publishers. Quantitative approach with analytical survey method was used in this study. 21 electronic publishers were studied by researcher-made questionnaire. In order to analyze data, needed formulas were used for account percentage, median and so on. Microsoft excel spreadsheet application was used to analyze data. Findings showed that e-lending needs different tools, methods and business models. Electronic publishers are young in producing electronic content. Moreover publishers publish most of their resources on CDs and PDF format. But they agree (with about 90 percent) with e-lending by digital libraries if they care copyright. In this way, they need dealers to manage e-lending process and warranty their benefits because of their financial limitations and weakness in applying ICT.

Abstract: 

Index terms provided by authors and professional indexers are used in traditional information retrieval schemes. However, abstracts ideally contain the core message of a document. This can potentially give us the opportunities to use the abstracts to automatically extract index terms. This work is an effort to increase the accuracy of keyword extraction mechanism by adding a temporal weighting to candidate. In addition, this work can be used to research trend analysis and shows where the ongoing research is headed in Iranian Theses and Dissertations (TDs). To achieve the aforementioned objectives, we studied on more than 500 samples in different engineering research area from 50 different universities 1) the correlation between the authors and professional indexers keywords. We observed only 8% similarity between these two indices. 2) We studied the correlation between the index terms and words in abstract and title. We found that 40% of author keywords are extracted from first 20% of the abstract (This figure changes to 45% for professional indexer) and 24% from the second 20% (19% from the next 20%) This finding can be further used to narrow down the input dimensions for the various machine learning schemes for automatic keyword extraction. 3) Using some classification schemes it can be perceived that the most of the ongoing research in Iran is headed toward neural network and optimization.

Abstract: 

This study examines the comparative strengths and weaknesses of the Estelahname-ye Maaref-eQoran and Estelehnameye O’ lome Qorani. In today’ s society where the documents are kept electronically, retrieval and dissemination of information for the development of research, is more important than saving documents. Thesauri are the base of indexing of various sciences and one of the solutions for storing, organizing and classifying information in recent decades. This Article uses a comparative approach and desk review by comparative method. Data were compared according to rates, defects, removing inconsistencies in terminology and referral system. The results suggest that although Estelehname-ye O’ lome Qorani has a useful introduction and has more resources than Estelahname-ye Maaref-e Qoran content, but is similar to Estelahname-ye Maaref-e Qoran in function. In addition both books have no developer and supporter system. For those who keep thesaurus updated, access to systems that respond basic needs is nessecery, and they must employ thesaurus management software that some research centers use.

Abstract: 

Nowadays, mobile electronic devices bring new achievements to education. By expanding mobile devices, it also eliminates spatial constraint training and enables the person to benefit this type of training at any place and at any time. In this study, first, the challenges of mobile education are examined. Then, using the cloud processing system, a solution is proposed to improve the challenges of mobile e-learning systems. The purpose of this study is to implement a mobile education system in the cloud computing environment in the Windows Azure environment for training, so that speed and performance are acceptable and accessible through the Android operating system, and have fewer problems than other similar systems. The proposed solution has been evaluated for feasibility, interoperability and compatibility, and the results indicate that interoperability and compatibility in the proposed method have been improved.

Abstract: 

Named Entity Recognition (NER) is a fundamental task in natural language processing and also known as a subset of information extraction. We seek to locate and classify named entities in text into predefined categories such as the names of persons, organizations, locations, expressions of times, etc. Named Entity Recognition for English texts has been researched widely for the past years, however only a few limited researches have emphasized on Persian NER due to absence of resources for Persian named entities and the limited amount of progress made in Persian natural language processing in general. In this paper, a Persian named entity recognition system has been developed based on neural network with the study of researches conducted in other languages and benefiting from the latest methods in this area such as using the vector representation of words. The results from the proposed model show that word embedding features in Persian not only resolve the problem of feature selection, but also it could lead to the development of an efficient system with the least dependence to the domain.
