Abstract: 

In the recent years, the sustainable supply chain paradigm has emerged as an efficient model for the supply chain of organizations incorporating sustainability benefits. Therefore, the present study aims at designing and analyzing a sustainable supply chain model by emphasizing on the police activities. This research is applied in terms of purpose and correlational in terms of description method. The statistical population of this study consists of managers and experts of police supply chain and the statistical sample includes 100 people who have been selected through random sampling. This research has been carried out through careful analysis of the literature of sustainable supply chain and extraction of research components using Delphi method. Researcher-made questionnaires have been distributed and collected from among Police supply chain experts using structural equation and PLS software, which have been ranked using Friedman test. The findings show that productivity dimensions and responsiveness have had a significant impact on the formation of Police sustainable supply chain. Therefore, components that focus on flexibility and integrity are of utmost importance. The results indicate a continual focus on Police supply chain formulation, therefore, special attention should be paid to the productivity of these dimensions. If this is done, it will result in optimal utilization of resources, time, location, and optimized logistics.

Abstract: 

World economics in 21st century has changed the method of organizations' performances. Other companies not only encounter with inner rivals, but also need to compete internationally to survive and achieve world market share. In this competitive business atmosphere, those companies that adapt themselves with this paradigm change are considered successful. One of the features of such successful organizations is supply chain alignment. In this research, supply chain alignment of Iran Khodro was taken into consideration. Also, in order to effectively cover supply chain alignment, key features of a product in different level of chain were determined. To determine the alignment, suggested framework called Fisher has been used. Also, to determine the key features, firstly, the characteristics of a product have been achieved by reviewing the thematic literature and library researches. Then, using a questionnaire, making dual comparison and Chang's developmental analysis, the weight of features were achieved in different levels of the chain. Following that, using Spearman's coefficient of correlation, the consensus about key features of the product was assessed in different levels of the chain. Also, using McNemar, responsiveness of the current supply chain of Iran Khodro to customers' need was assessed. According to the results of this research, 7 product key features in the supply chain of Iran Khodro consist of expense, quality, delivery, flexibility, delay, predictability of request and design. According to the analyses done in this field, it is claimed that the supply chain of Iran Khodro, based on Fisher framework, has correct alignment and adequately responds to customers' needs.

Abstract: 

Vehicle routing is one of the significant issues in the field of Logistics management and despite many endeavors for integrating this issue with other fields of logistics, most of its aspects require research and development. The selection of interdependent factors in vehicle routing is one of these approaches and it can have a considerable impact on price increase, income decrease, lost sale, dissatisfaction of customers and increase in returned goods. This issue is the rewritten classic model of vehicle routing by considering the approach of selecting a customer as one of the significant approaches in the distribution management. The main idea of this article is to consider the fact that the number of requests for each region is a fixed amount and if goods were distributed among several sellers in that region, all of the requests would be divided among these sellers, which is not desirable for the sellers and results in considerable distribution expenses. Above all, the satisfaction of ultimate consumers depends on broad distribution and if distributed among more ones, there would be greater satisfaction. Based on this idea, in the present research, a new formulation from this issue in the form of a two-purpose mathematical model has been presented by putting together the classic vehicle routing and the approach of selective distribution. In this research, firstly, a review of the literature of this subject has been carried out, and then the issue has been raised. Following that, based on the limiting assumptions describing the conditions of the issue, modeling of vehicle routing with the approach of selecting interdependent factors has been considered and mathematical modeling has been presented. This model with a set of sample data has been dealt with and its reliability has been assessed.

Abstract: 

One of the important aspects of Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) is the prediction of remaining useful life (RUL) based on past records and current state of the device and lubricant oil analysis is one of the methods of CBM which due to its direct contact with the device, its condition expresses the device's health. In the CBM process a large mass of data is generated and accumulated, but the knowledge included in this data cannot be fully understood and result in the loss of valuable resources. To extract information and knowledge from these data, it is necessary to use methods such as data mining. In this study, based on the definition of RUL, the best prediction model of remaining operating time for a bulldozer model until critical state has been created with data mining solution based on engine oil analysis records (dataset with 2700 records and 129 features). To create the best model, regression and neural network models have been created after preparing the proper dataset with 49 records and 4 features. Due to the feasibility of oil change at sampling intervals, the models have been created using two methods of applying independent features values. Based on the performance evaluation of the models, the best model with neural network and the second method of applying independent features values have been created with prediction error 958559. 033 +/-23526. 662, which are to use new values (cumulative) of two independent features (Fe, Cu) and the actual value (non-cumulative) of an independent feature (Vis40)

Abstract: 

One of the extra charges imposed on marine services is the expense of cleaning living organisms (fouling) that grow on hulls. Moreover, the algae and animals on hull surface increase the frictional resistance of boats and marine vessels as they move which results in additional fuel cost. Fouling has a significant effect on the increased frictional resistance. The amount of this increase depends on the biology (types of microorganisms and their covering area) as well as the underwater hull shape and the vessel’ s operating speed. In this research, information related to different types of underwater hull cleaning robots (HCR) has been gathered. By studying many underwater HCR projects, their main specifications including cost, type of attachment to hull, and cleaning system have been assessed. Regarding the results of this research, it has been revealed that construction of an underwater HCR in Iran is feasible. The net cost of construction, maintenance, repair and operation of the robot is small compared to the long-term expenditure for the periodical hull cleaning in a shipyard. The main conclusion of this research shows the current situation in technology, challenges, and opportunities and all in all the starting point to create these underwater robots in Iran.

Abstract: 

This paper addresses the issue of how purchasing managers can develop the purchasing department's legitimacy within an organization. A qualitative exploratory approach based on six cases has been used since: (1) there has not yet been a research performed on this topic; and (2) an analysis of internal legitimization strategies must take into consideration the context and the nature of the relationships among departments. Our analysis shows that in order to create, maintain or increase the purchasing department's internal legitimacy, purchasing managers have to do very well about two complementary strategic orientations: (1) identify and attract the best suppliers; (2) identify and implement collaborative processes and coordination mechanisms that cannot be duplicated by competitors. In fact, supply managers actually develop legitimization strategies based internally and externally, since a higher level of internal legitimacy can also be supported partially by external stakeholders, who then influence the other departments' and top management's perceptions. Our study also shows that the strategies used by purchasing managers take different forms depending which legitimacy dimension (cognitive, pragmatic, or moral legitimacy) they are trying to influence. Moreover, a purchasing department's legitimacy strategy is developed based on a few important factors: (1) where the purchasing department stands at a given time in terms of the contribution perceived, similar to a "balance sheet" evaluation; (2) the purchasing personnel's technical and relational competencies; and (3) the extent of their implication in the strategic choices leading to the development of a competitive advantage for the organization they work for. It seems that any effort to take steps based on coherent legitimization strategies could help improve both a purchasing department's legitimacy level and its development level. From this standpoint, this study also shows that the purchasing department's internal legitimacy is a crucial driver of purchasing practices.
