Introduction: Infertility is a complex life crisis that results in deep emotional and psychological pressures on couples. Infertility and its aftermath are areas of stress and hopelessness. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of a combined positive cognitive behavioral therapy approach on infertility stress and hope in infertile women in Khorramabad city in 2018. Methods: This experimental study was a pretest-posttest with the control group. The sampling method was available in which 30 infertile women who had records in infertility treatment centers in Khorramabad in 1398 were selected randomly in two groups. Experimental and control (15 patients per group) were replaced. At first, Newton et al. ’ s infertility stress questionnaire and Schneider et al. ’ s hope questionnaire were used to measuring pre-test scores. Then, after the educational intervention, the positive cognitive behavioral approach (for 10 sessions of 90 minutes on the experimental group) in the post-test, the questionnaires were administered to all subjects in both experimental and control groups. Finally, data were analyzed using multivariate and univariate analysis of covariance by SPSS 22 software Results: The results indicated that the intervention of the positive cognitive behavioral intervention had a positive and significant effect on reducing infertility stress and increasing the hope of infertile women (P <0. 001). Conclusion: According to the results of this study, it can be said that the combined approach of positive cognitive behavioral therapy has a positive effect on reducing infertility stress and increasing the hope of infertile women. Therefore, it can be suggested that such treatments be used to promote mental health in infertile women.

Abstract:

Background and Aim: Spiritual Intelligence as a behavior with compassion, wisdom and internal and external pacification is the key element in encountering with stressful challenges in Intensive Care Units (ICU) wherein nurses can use it for managing critical situations in the best way. This research has been done for assessing the effectiveness of training on spiritual intelligence and its components in nurses who work in ICU. Materials and Methods: This quasi-experimental study with two groups and pretest-posttest was done on 82 nurses (40 nurses in the experimental group and 42 in the control group). Sampling was conducted in a convenience method by considering matching and ratio which was proportional with the total number of nurses in hospitals affiliated with Lorestan University of Medical Sciences. King Spiritual Intelligence Scale which is validated and the reliable tool, was used for data gathering. Data collecting was accomplished before, immediately and one month after the study. Eight training sessions were held for the experimental group in a workshop method. Data were analyzed by descriptive and inferential statistics by SPSS software version 15. Results: The findings revealed that most samples in two groups were lower than 40 years, female, with work experiences of 5-14 years, bachelor degree and employed. Covariance analysis (by adjusting the effect of the values of the base of spiritual intelligence) showed that the main effect of the intervention on the mean scores of spiritual intelligence was significant (p<0. 05), so that the mean scores of spiritual intelligence in the experimental group reached from 53. 37 before the study to 78. 50 after study. Also, Covariance analysis showed that the effect of the intervention on components of spiritual intelligence was significant too (p<0. 05) and training increased the mean score of these components in the experimental group. Conclusion: According to the results, the nurses had a moderate level of spiritual intelligence but after training in a workshop method, their spiritual intelligence increased. So using a training protocol for improving the ability of spiritual intelligence in nurses can progress them in adapting with workplace stress and individual life which causes an upsurge in quality care.

Abstract:

Background and aim: The most important factor affecting the quality of care is the ability of nurses to make effective clinical decisions. Since identifying nurses ‘ perceptions of clinical decision making is an important step in improving the quality of care, this study was done to determine nurses’ perceptions of clinical decision making in hospitals of Shahrekord University of Medical Sciences. Methods: The study was descriptive research. The study population consisted of clinical nurses working in Ayatollah Kashani and Hajar hospitals in Shahrekord and Seyed al-Shohada in Farsan. 300 nurses were selected through random quota sampling. Data were collected using demographic information questionnaire and a Persian version of Clinical Decision Making in Nursing Scale (CDMNS). Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics (mean and standard deviation) and inferential statistics (Mann-Whitney and Kruskal-Wallis) and SPSS (V 21). Results: The mean score of nurses’ perception of clinical decision making was 119. 11± 13. 53which was high. The mean decision scores on subscales A, B, C and D were (29. 15± 3. 38), (33. 76 ± 3. 50), (25. 9 ± 4. 1) and (29. 30± 4. 2) which was lower in the subscale of the search for information and unbiased assimilation of new information. The results also showed that age, background and unit were significantly correlated with scores of perception of decision making (P<0. 05). With increasing in age and background, perception of decision making decreased. And the perception of decision making in the cardiac unit was more than other units. Conclusion: Since nurses’ perception in “ Search for information and unbiased assimilation of new information” subscale in the experienced nurses is low; Therefore, planning should be made to increase the ability of experienced nurses to search for new information.

Abstract:

Ground and goal: On one hand, preterm infants need to be confined to bed. because of maintaining the vitality and continued evolution of body systems. On the other hand, various exposures to offensive procedures can cause a lot of stresses that contradict neuron-sensory evolution. Direct observation of preterm infants and recognizing its behaviors can help nurses to do evolutionary supportive care, so they can control preterm infants pain and stress; So, goal of this research is determining the effect of lullaby on sleep patterns changes in premature neonates after endotracheal suctioning. Methods: 25 confined to bed preterm infants were studied in NICU ward of Hazrat Zeinab (peace be upon her) hospital of Shiraz in 1395 in this clinical trial. Samples were selected by packing method accidentally and allocated to two groups of A, B. If preterm infant was in group A, at first received lullaby by headphone 10 minutes before and also 10 minutes after suction. Then a headphone without lullaby (silent) was put on head of preterm infants 24 hours later. If preterm infant was in group B, it will be reversed. At last, each infant was evaluated twice In both cases the physiological responses were recorded, then Collected through the APIB tool. Physiological filmed responses were recorded by tool of APIB. Data were analyzed by use of software SPSS, Mann-Whitney Test. Results: The results showed that there was not significant difference between )mean sleep score 10 minutes before suction in lullaby and silence group but the mean sleep score of 10 minutes after suctioning was sig , )P=0/07777 nificantly difference in the two groups. (P=0/004). Also, Comparison of the mean sleep score in the lullabies group before and after the suctiont and also in the silence group with a significant level of 0. 001 Showed a significant. difference Conclusion: According to the findings of this study, lullaby is effective in improving sleep patterns of preterm infants following painful procedures. It is recommended that nurses use this method as an effective intervention to improve the sleep patterns of neonates admitted to the neonatal intensive care unit.
