Abstract

Background: The most common and most costly occupational diseases are Low back pain. In the field of Low back pain, several programs can reduce the severity of pain. Low back pain training programs are a short-term program and include training, assessment and skill improvement programs. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of this program on the Quality of life of workers with Low back pain in Lamer Health Network. Methods: This study was an educational intervention that included 32 employees with chronic Low back pain in the intervention group and 29 employees in the control group. The control group did not receive any training. On the other hand, the intervention group was subjected to a controlled interventional program. The Quality of life of these patients was evaluated at the beginning of the study and after 6 months by the SF-36 questionnaire. At the end, the results before and after the intervention were compared between the two groups. Results: This study showed that Low back pain reduction program is an effective treatment for improving the Quality of life of patients with low the effect of Low back pain education curriculum on Quality of life of health network Staff back pain. The Staff treated with this program had a higher score on the indicators of "physical condition", "physical performance, " and "general health", which reflects the higher Quality of life of patients in terms of these items in the intervention group. There was no significant difference between the two groups in other indices. Conclusion: Regarding the high prevalence of Low back pain in health care workers, Low back pain education programs, as an effective intervention for reducing back pain, can improve the Quality of life of workers with chronic Low back pain.
