Abstract

With the advent of the media and the expansion of their sphere of influence in the various individual and collective realms of human beings in various intellectual, cultural, social and political fields, media literacy has become more and more important. In the connection between media and religion, Students of Religious Sciences can be mentioned as one of the important and effective users of cyberspace. The present study seeks to explore the relationship between media literacy and Active Virtual Activism of religious students. Random sampling method and sample size of 322 people, and data were used and studied by the Media Literacy Questionnaire (Philosophical, 2014) and the standard researchermade questionnaire active in the virtual field. The results show that there is a significant positive relationship (r = 0. 61, ) between media literacy (and all its subscales) with virtual active activism. In the end, 78% of the statistical sample admitted that media literacy is important and useful for them and can undoubtedly be used in cyberspace activism for religious purposes.
