Pages

  91-126

Abstract

Undoubtedly, TRADITION is one of the most important sources of INNOVATION. Although this sounds true, presenting proofs and examples can, on the one hand, illustrate the share of TRADITION in literature, and one the other hand, introduce one of the most significant ways of innovating. Therefore, Mas’oud Sa`d as an early TRADITIONal poet – and Sa’di- as a recent innovative poet are compared. Infact, knowing the bachground of Persian literature is one of the most important factors of SA`DIs innovative achievements. Here, Mas’oud's areas of LANGUAGE, CONTENT, and RHETORICS are undeniable.
