Abstract

Different groups of researchers are affected by various factors and environments. Therefore they represent different information seeking behaviors. Among the most important factors examined in the present study, personal, cognitive and environmental ones as well as system facilities can be mentioned. Due to the high importance of each of these factors in shaping the behavior of INFORMATION SEEKERS, it is necessary to examine and review these factors properly to provide guidelines for information science scholars and support INFORMATION SEEKERS. Also it is necessary to give more insight and knowledge to system designers about designing user-oriented systems.
