Abstract

The aim of this study was to review the role and place of the ARCHIVE/fa?page=1&sort=1&ftyp=all&fgrp=all&fyrs=all" target="_blank">AUDIO-VISUAL ARCHIVEs of Boushehr IRIB Center in supporting production process of RADIO AND TELEVISION PROGRAMS. Research method is metrical and collection tool is a questionnaire. The study population includes 100 employees of radio and television PROGRAM MAKERS (Producers and Directors) of Boushehr center. Based on research findings, 92.8 percent of PROGRAM MAKERS believe that they can name the ARCHIVE/fa?page=1&sort=1&ftyp=all&fgrp=all&fyrs=all" target="_blank">AUDIO-VISUAL ARCHIVE of Boushehr IRIB as one of the main factors in the production process of RADIO AND TELEVISION PROGRAMS and considered it as the anchor of PROGRAM MAKERS. 96.9 percent of the ARCHIVE developers consider the center as of a database and programming supporter. 95.9 percent of PROGRAM MAKERS believe that the ARCHIVE/fa?page=1&sort=1&ftyp=all&fgrp=all&fyrs=all" target="_blank">AUDIO-VISUAL ARCHIVE of the center is not only a place for maintaining the resources, but also it is one of the most important parts to preserve the content and message in the media. From the viewpoint of planners, the richness of archival resources of the center has a significant role in providing and supporting, in the quantitative and qualitative promotion of production, and in time and cost reduction of programs. Most PROGRAM MAKERS consider the provision of services by the center's ARCHIVISTS.as desired in fulfilling the information needs of PROGRAM MAKERS. The most important expectations by the center's ARCHIVISTS.include the digitizing and richening of archival resources, developing an ARCHIVE database, producing visual effects with high quality, keyword extraction of thematic resources, creating alteration and multiplying resources. Their problems include lack of access to archival resources of others broadcasting centers, lack of technical facilities in the ARCHIVE, staffing shortages and closing of the ARCHIVE center on official holidays.
