Abstract

Background: VERTIGO seems to be a common complaint in patients with CNS disorders. Especially cerebral vascular diseases which con be regarded for early diagnosis and treatment. This study to find out its prevalence relation with sex and age in these patiants in Shahid Beheshti hospital of Kashan. Materials and Methods: 110 Patients were participated in a cross sectional analytic descriptive study in First 6 months of 1995. The data were collected from medical records and analysed by statistical methods. Results: VERTIGO was found in 48 patients (%43.6). (24 males %50 and 24 females %50). From 48 patients with VERTIGO, 19 ones (%39.6) were in age of above than 61-70 years. Conclusion: VERTIGO is one of the common complaints in patients with cerebral vascular diseases which increases with age and has the same rate in both sexes.
