Abstract

The performance and usefulness of the air transportation industry goes beyond the provision of transportation services. Air transportation affects our economic way of life, social and cultural attitudes and even has an effect in shaping the historical and political situation of societies. The increasing development of the air transport industry in the last decade in the world has been raised as one of the most important axes of development and growth of developed and developing countries and has a special position in the economic, social, cultural and technological development programs of developing countries has been found and is being developed. The growth of economic and social activities in Iran, the need for rapid movement of people and goods, and as a result the increasing demand for the air transport sector has made it an unavoidable necessity. Therefore, knowing about the challenges and opportunities that exist in this industry will lead to the presentation of strategies, policies, goals and ultimately its development. Air transportation, as much as it creates economic changes, also creates sociological changes. Due to the growing demand for air travel, air transportation has become one of the integral parts of human life today. The air transport industry is very important among different industries as well as types of transport methods. The ever-increasing development of the aircraft manufacturing industry and the tendency to move and transfer passengers and goods in the shortest time has led to the remarkable progress of the air transportation industry, especially in the last two decades. The purpose of this research is to analyze and investigate new methods of designing Airports with a Sustainable Transportation approach.
