Abstract

Is Khatmi Lâhori the writer of The Mystic Interpretation of Hafiz's Sonnets, annotated by Bahâ'oddin Khorramshâhi, et al.? This is among the interpretations of Hafiz written in the Indian subcontinent. On the strength of the sentences appearing in the text, and based on the view of Dr. ArefNoshahi, the annotators have ascribed the book to Khatmi Lâhori, the writer of Marja' al- Bahrain, which cannot be true. In this article, the writer presents arguments to refute this claim.
