Abstract

Background and objectives: Due to the growing human progress, the media are formed and reflected in public opinion. The media put man in an endless treasure of information and decides without their participation. This paper aims to identify psychosocial-media operations affecting organizational interaction in the management of security crises.Methodology: In terms of its objectives the present study is of an applied research type and in terms of method it is a mixed-method design study. The statistical population included experts, commanders and managers of law enforcement and security and academic experts who were selected by targeted sampling in the qualitative phase (38 individuals) and in the quantitative phase (46 individuals). The data collection tool was an interview in the qualitative phase, and in the quantitative phase, a researcher-made questionnaire whose structural validity and its composite reliability were confirmed. To analyze the data in the qualitative phase, the analysis of the theme and in the quantitative phase the three-level verification model was used in SMART PLS software.Findings: After thematically analyzing the subject of the text of the interviews, 5 indicators were obtained in cyberspace and 9 indicators in real environments. Quantitative data analysis showed that the responses of organizations and the satisfaction of the people, the interaction of the agencies together, coping with abnormalities, community adherence to values, community solidarity, community tolerance against abnormalities, activities and religious ceremonies, community insight and the recognition of the enemy, media activity in promising, the use of internal software, privacy protection, transparency and integrity in providing information and community adherence to the law affect organizational interaction.Results: The psychological-media operations with obtained indicators on organizational interaction are effective in managing security crises.
