Abstract

 The BALANCED SCORECARD (BSC) is a new and multidimensional approach to performance measurement and management control that is linked specifically to organizational strategy. Furthermore, it is essential for corporations to improve internal processes and focus on strategic objectives. Hence, managers can use processes as a strategic weapon to deliver world-class performance, and optimally use BSC to achieve and sustain strategic success. This paper studies the effects of implementation of BALANCED SCORECARD (BSC) on business processes.In the first step, it presents BSC and BUSINESS PROCESS MANAGEMENT literature. Then, observed BSC implementation reports in two Iranian organizations and effects of BSC on their processes is studied. The next section analyzes the information of two organizations. Finally, the results of the studied organizations are connected with the research literature. According on this research, the BSC effects are used in identifying the KEY PROCESSES, aligning KEY PROCESSES with organizational strategies, internal process improvement, and linking action plans with startegies in all organizational levels obsereved in two studied organizations.
