Abstract

Azerbaijan geographical area is one of the most prominent centers of Iran architecture that has experienced flourishing in the field of architecture in the seventh and eighth centuries and created a style called "Azeri". Many of the works of this period have been destroyed after earthquake and the war. Among the remained works in this area, the building of the Kabood Mosque is noted which can provide useful information about the GEOMETRY and PROPORTIONS related to the architecture of that period. Therefore, the aim of this analytical-descriptive research is to study the GEOMETRY and PROPORTIONS of the traditional monuments associated with AZERI STYLE in AZERBAIJAN in order to remind the privileged position of GEOMETRY in the design of old architecture, which in addition to more correct understanding of architecture can be a way for monitoring the current unfavorable current style of design in an innovative way.
