Abstract

Introduction: With the beginning of the corona crisis, nurses suffered from psychological problems that needed interventions. The purpose of the present study was to investigate the effectiveness of cognitive behavioral therapy of the processing unit on the perceptual stress and anxiety of nurses during the corona crisis epidemic. Methods: The current research method was descriptive and semi-experimental. The statistical population was nurses in the ward of corona patients of Shahid Beheshti and Shahid Yahyanejad hospitals in Babol city in 2021, the statistical sample size of 30 people was determined and selected by available sampling method and randomly assigned to two experimental groups and control group. The tools used in this research were the anxiety questionnaire, the perceived stress questionnaire, and the worry questionnaire. Results: The results of the analysis of covariance showed that cognitive behavioral therapy reduced the cognitive stress and anxiety of nurses during the corona crisis epidemic (P<0. 001). Conclusion: Considering the effectiveness of cognitive behavioral therapy in reducing nurses' perceptual stress and anxiety, health professionals can use this method to reduce nurses' psychological problems.
