Abstract

T.V is one of the most important socializing devices in the modern societies, besides, the T.V serials is one of the efficient tools for transforming and transporting the values in the social life. Behind the “neutral” and “innocent” appearance of these serials, discursive behaviors are implied which role as indirect social facts. This matter determines trends of activities of our minds. The purpose of this paper is a SEMIOTIC analysis of the manners of REPRESENTATION of marriage in T.V serials. With SEMIOTIC method, five more high popular Iranian T.V serials from 1370 to 1389 were considered. In these Serials we have faced with three types of REPRESENTATIONs TRADITIONAL MARRIAGE, semi-traditional marriage, and MODERN MARRIAGE which each one encoded in various methods of media’s indications.
