Abstract

Efficiency of vessels in ports is one of the most important factors in designing a port. Vessel maneuver in different environmental within the port, has a critical impact in determining its efficiency. Hence, studying this issue is an essentiality in analyzing the design and output of a port basin. There are several methods to examine vessel maneuver at ports including: model test, theoretical analysis, experimental practices and numeral methods. Nowadays, with the growth of calculation capabilities of computers, numerical methods have a special position. This article, while studying the importance of port basin tranquility analysis, effective parameters are considered and then the capability of maneuver simulation at the basin is studying with respect to different method of simulation and taking into account special port conditions.
