Abstract

Celebrities, throughout history, are like stars that always illuminate light. What seems interesting with respect to their life is there are important people who lived along these celebrities and got influenced or benefitted through their lives from their assistance. One of them is the famous Lebanese scholar and writer, KHALIL GIBRAN whose literary and social life were influenced by a number of women. One such woman who had much impact on his life was MARY HASKELL. The turning point in Gibran's life was his acquaintance with Haskell in 1904. Haskell was such an influential personality who can be called a discoverer talent in Gibran. Importance of friendship is visible in their letters. These letters containing their thoughts, artistic progress as well as personal and professional calls have been recorded after over 17 years. The current paper tries to study various aspects of influential manifestation of Haskell on Gibran.
