Abstract

Having a glance at Ash'arite, Mu'tazilite, and Shiite theological METHODs, the present essay deals with theological METHOD of Ibn Maytham-who is a very brilliant and in Shiite theological realm- through investigating some of his major works and presenting numerous evidences from his opinions in order to prove that his theological METHOD is INTELLECTUAL.A notable point in this writing is that it, in addition to expounding Ibn Maytham's theological METHOD, makes the reader familiar with some cases in which he has opposed philosophers and theologians due to his INTELLECTUAL METHOD clarifying thereby that he has always been a follower of reasoning since he does not care opposing others' opinion as soon as he attains an INTELLECTUAL proof. The present essay, however, does not intent to criticize his opinions.
