Abstract

Having reviewed the historical trend observed in Pahlavid era, this article tries to study a model of historical exploration of democratic gap. This model implies compilation of a new arrangement for variables influencing reinforcement or DEMOCRACY gap and their comparative weight. Lack of a sustaining historical background for the formation of a stable SOCIAL ORGANIZATION in the society on one hand and instability and chaos in the structure of the ruling system and its serious animosity toward religion and clerics as well as the formation of SECULARISM in IRAN on the other hand are among the main reasons and factors hindering the formation of a trend based on DEMOCRACY up to the victory of Islamic revolution of IRAN.
