Abstract

SEYYED QUTB, an outstanding theoretician of Muslim Brotherhood of Egypt, is among the famous figures whose thoughts have deeply influenced the world of Islam, an influence that can't be ignored. Iranian clerics, who considered western civilization as a threat to Islamic identity of their society, used SEYYED QUTB's thoughts, along with other sources, to fight western model. This article mainly tries to find out whether AYATOLLAH TALEQANI has been influenced by SEYYED QUTB's viewpoints in his opinions. To provide an answer to this question, considering two issues of “conceptual similarities” And “chronological sequence” it can be accepted that SEYYED QUTB's thoughts have influenced AYATOLLAH TALEQANI's ANTI-WESTERN opinions.Sings of AYATOLLAH TALEQANI's relation with Arabic and Islamic circles familiar with SEYYED QUTB's viewpoints specially his access to Arabic or Persian translation of his works reinforces this probability.
