Abstract

 The aim of the current study was to comparative evaluation of the amount attention to MAHDISM CONCEPTS through Islamic education textbook of education system in Iran in the curriculum field. These subjects included the individual characteristics of Imam, the era before the appearance (the occultation era of Imam Mahdi), the reappearance era and post-reappearance era (the reign era). In this research, descriptive method has been used in the type of CONTENT ANALYSIS, with applied approach. The statistical population of the research was all the textbooks of the Islamic education which has published in education system in three educational periods (elementary, and the first and second levels of pre-high school) from 1951 to 2008. In the sample, there were 90 textbooks of the Islamic education which were selected by using the random sampling method which was avalible.The measurement tool was a researcher-made checklist of CONTENT ANALYSIS. The research results were analyzed by using the indicators of the descriptive statistics (frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation) and inferential (independent Tvtest), and SPSS, version 20. The most common results of this research showed that there is a meaningful difference between the components related to Mahdismin in two periodsof time, before Islamic republic revolution (19.36) and after the Islamic republic revolution(26.64) in the level of p <0.05.
