Abstract

This investigation includes a quantitative and qualitative study of 250 addicts’records in a descriptive way. These people attended MARAQAH’S SELF-INTRODUCED ADDICTS CENTER and were under the investigator’s treatment for two years. The study reveals, at least, ten causes for ADDICTION and two significant points pertaining to: 1) the critical time of becoming addicted to narcotics (ie during adolescence or the begining of youth), and 2) the fact that these people had no idea about narcotics characteristics, ADDICTION and the process of becoming addicted. The investigator emphasizes the great implied messages of these points that can be considered in preventing ADDICTION.
