Abstract

Introduction: The religious belief and practices are preventing of social deviation, unmoral behavior and social anomy; have direct or non direct impact on individuals. Therefore the following research intents to investigation the role of RELIGIOSITY in FAMILY PATHOLOGY.Methods: The research method was descriptive and in this research, 882 subjects of Tehran were studied. The data gathering means were Enrich marital satisfaction scale, FAMILY PATHOLOGY and RELIGIOSITY questionnaire.Results: The results showed, that: there are significant correlation of -0.23 between religious beliefs or practice and FAMILY PATHOLOGY, 0.44 between religious practices and child rearing and 0.35 with self concept.Conclusion: If the RELIGIOSITY increase the FAMILY PATHOLOGY in may decrease. Therefore the RELIGIOSITY may be strong policy for prevention of FAMILY PATHOLOGY.
