Abstract

Ahvaz KAROON RIVER, 18 meters above sea level, and is spread on both sides. The flat land of the river city in the rainy season, at the time of flooding of residential areas causes enormous human and financial losses. In this paper, formulas, coefficients BASIN and topographic maps as well as aerial photographs and geological materials and set tables and charts related to the area of quantitative methods were used. The result showed that the correlation coefficient between the two variables catchment BASIN area and elevation, of the type that was partially reversed by increasing the relative area decreases with increasing height reduction variable and it is the cumulative relative area. Due to the gentle slope of the KAROON RIVER in Ahvaz aging process is caused by deposition of material and forming islands.
