Abstract

A major problem in many organizations and institutions is the absent of enough information regarding the extent of wisdom and knowledge of available people. Knowledge effective management focuses on solutions covering the whole system is the most important tool to solve this problem. Different institutions and thinkers have so far introduced more than 26 models about KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT. Among these, the model of NONAKA TAKUJI is chosen to study the state of KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT in IRAN POLICE DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNICATION AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY. The results of research data analysis indicated that IRAN POLICE DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNICATION AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY obtained 2.75 points in KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT which means the department has very low record in focusing and using knowledge and department of communication and information technology should fundamentally implement knowledge infrastructures and projects. Furthermore it should attract the attention of its personnel to organization knowledge assets by educating its managers and personnel.
