Abstract

The purpose of this study is to present a conceptual model of commercialization of ACADEMIC RESEARCH ACHIEVEMENTS (Constituent elements and factors); it neglected aspects of this phenomenon will cover as much as possible and stakeholders involved in this area enable to answer questions. This study is applied and the method is qualitative. The population examined in this study is state industrial Colleges in Tehran. The sample consisted of 55 personalities and entities (including 20 Knowledge-based companies with academic origin, 22 faculty members and 13 experts engaged in commercial activity in this area). The sample was selected using purposive sampling. The finding is a conceptual model consists of individual, internal, external, and connecting factors and model’s components are academic spin-off, technology license, Sale of technology, and services. The superiority of this model compared to current models is the introduction of the ACADEMIC GOALKEEPER. This factor plays an important role in the relationship between universities and industry information asymmetry.
