Abstract

In light of heated debates concerning the Family Protection Bill of 1386/2007, our aim in this paper is to first shed lights on the legal and jurisprudential as well as legal backgrounds of the Bill’s provisions taking in account its positive and negative aspects. We also intend to offer alternative solutions based on the legal system of Iran and Twelver Shites jurisprudence to the controversial provisions of the Bill.
