Abstract

With respect to the crimes' high and growing rate, the present survey has aimed at considering the impact of geographical situation, place conditions, and crimes facilitator factors. The objectives of the research is examining the relationship between ROBBERY on one hand, and places, policing forces potential and role of IMMIGRANTS and the passenger-carrying cars in KARAJ, on the other. The main question still to be answered in the research is "what are the factors which affect ROBBERY in KARAJ?" The data was gathered through self-made questionnaire (a=0.7434) from 150 police officers of KARAJ who had 10 years experience in police force. The results of the research indicate that geographical situation, passenger carrying fleet, IMMIGRANTS, and police operational weakness in carrying out its mission are effective in occurrence of ROBBERY.
