Abstract

f is the twentieth letter of the Arabic alphabet and the seventeeth according to the abecedarian order of this alphabet and sinc it is one of basic letters it has attracted the attention of the experts of philology and exegesis from the oldest times. For the ease of understanding, the article is arranged in six sections and a implementer subdivision as fallows: 1. the f as a connective 2. the f as a causative 3. the f as a maker of eloquence 4. the f as a marker of appellation 5. the f as a marker of conditionals 6. The f as a maker of redundancy, and finally as a complementary observation mention is made of the f as a marker of unexpectancy. The above observations are deal with in detail in the main body of the article and the claims and comments are supported by citations, quotes and examples from the experts of the field
