MYTHOLOGICAL ASPECTS OF METAPHORICAL STRUCTURES: A HERMENEUTIC ANALYSIS

Abstract

 Based on a hermeneutic approach, the present article tries to show that there is a close relationship between metaphors and myths. Accordingly, the imaginative faculty uses metaphoric and mythological structures to create poetic concepts; and great poets express mythical concepts through metaphor.
