Abstract

I read with interest the study from Shojaee etal. in ResearchinCardiovascularMedicine. 2023, 12 (1): 8-18 regarding the prediction of adherence to heart failure (HF) therapy at the HF clinic of Shahid Rajaee Hospital, Iran. [1] The goal of this study was to determine the degree of treatment adherence while also exploring various demographic, clinical, comorbidity, and self-care behavior characteristics that may have an impact on adherence among HF patients. The findings of this study match with our perspective on enhancing medication adherence and health outcomes in practical settings. [2] To do this, it is important to implement a patient-centered strategy that considers several criteria, such as age, educational attainment, marital status, and health insurance coverage. A study from Malang-Indonesia[3] found that the majority of the respondents (61. 1%, 11 respondents) had never heard of HF therapy. Prior knowledge will help HF patients to know more about the therapy. Education and reminder book has been given to increase therapeutic adherence in patients with HF.
