Abstract

 The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of Cognitive rehabilitation therapy intervention on working Memory and Processing speed of students with special learning disabilities. The research method was quasi-experimental with pretest-posttest design and control group. The statistical population included male and female elementary school students with learning disabilities in the Tonekabon city who referred to the health learning disability center of that city in the 99-98 academic year. Sampling method of this study was available that after selecting 30 people were randomly assigned to experimental and control groups. Data collection tools were clinical interview and Wechsler 4 (2003) IQ scale. Univariate analysis of variance was used to analyze the data. The above tests were performed using version 22 of SPSS software. The results showed that Cognitive rehabilitation therapy had a positive and significant effect on working Memory and Processing speed of students with special learning disabilities.
