Title

Investigating the role of artificial intelligence in improving organizational behavior management and optimizing human resources

Abstract

 This study explores the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in enhancing Organizational Behavior Management (OBM) and optimizing human resource (HR) practices in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Tehran. The aim of the research is to investigate how AI impacts critical HR functions such as recruitment, talent development, performance management, and employee well-being, while also addressing challenges related to data privacy, algorithmic bias, and the potential dehumanization of HR processes. Using a descriptive survey method, data were collected from 97 SMEs via validated questionnaires that measured human resource improvement, organizational citizenship behavior, and AI implementation. The results revealed that AI tools significantly influence OBM and HR optimization, showing a strong correlation between AI implementation and improvements in both areas (r = 0. 76 for OBM, r = 0. 79 for HR optimization, α = 0. 83). AI-driven tools enhance recruitment processes, facilitate objective data-backed decision-making, and provide predictive analytics that help forecast employee turnover and identify high-potential employees. The findings suggest that while AI enhances efficiency and decision-making in HR, it also presents challenges that need to be carefully managed to prevent ethical issues and maintain employee trust. The study underscores the importance of aligning AI capabilities with organizational goals to create a dynamic and responsive HR environment.
